So I had previously requested some battery advice on here and got some great replies which led to me getting MVP 2.0. Don't regret the purchase at all and I love it. Although now I am looking to replace the 16b tank that came with it. The draw is too tight for my personal preference and I'd like to get a glass tank. Replaceable drip tip is a must cause I definitely wouldn't enjoy using a metal/steel drip tip.

So far I been personally comparing Mini Protank 2/3, Protank 2, and the Aerotank from Kanger. I am open to other suggestions however but would also appreciate any feedback between those tanks people might have. Thanks in advance as well for any help or advice people are willing to give. It's appreciated.

I recommend miniprotank2v2

- glass
- eGo thread
- completely dissassembleable for thorough cleaning
- common type of replaceable atomizer head

Other tanks to consider:
The Aspire line of tanks.
Smoktech ARO
Glass EVOD
Anyvape Davide

Most tanks come with the 510 thread, which is really designed for cigalikes and is just too small for a large tank, and is often the culprit in problems that frequently occur with tanks; I actually use protanks myself, not my miniprotanks, but I use the base from my miniprotanks and they fit on the protanks; just have to also add a second silicone cap inverted on the atomizer head to seal off the extra space.

Dual coil is becoming more popular these days, but its a whole lot easier to rebuild or the rewick a single coil than to try to rebuild the two coils on those dual coil heads; alot of people who buy the dual coil heads end up rebuilding them single coil after the head goes out.

Look at the newest Aerotank Mega or the Mini, both use a new updates head design, or the Aspire Nautilus.

The Nautilus has a 4 hole adjustable airflow system and the newest Kanger Aerotanks have a total variable airflow control ring.

I have a Nautilus and it is a fine tank, other than is being a little ugly and the top section screws into the glass tank. But If the Aerotank Mega had been out when I was looking for a larger glass tank system I probably would of bought that instead of the Nautilus.

Or just buy a Kayfun Lite + V2 as they are the best tanks available. But you have to wrap your own coils and wick it. It is a Rebuildable.

Thanks for the responses so far. Don't think the Nautilus is my type of tank. Just a bit too large for my preference. I had looked into Smoktech as well, although seems only their Trophy Tanks have replaceable drip tips. I also haven't gone into rebuilding/rewicking yet and probably will not for quite a while. Thanks for the Aerotank Mini/Mega suggestions, seems like those might be my best options atm so far. Looking into them right now on prices.

The Aerotank Mega is a LARGE tank and you can replace the glass section with a SS part that I believe comes with it.

If money is a deciding factor then take a good look at the Nautilus. Real ones, there are Knock Offs, can be had for as little as 20-25 bucks (101vape.com). It is a very good tank system. Even though I own a Kayfun or 2 the Nautilus is just as good for flavor and vapor production

I'm new to vaping, since mid March, and didn't think I'd get into rebuilding for a while but here I am with 3 Kayfun tanks and another on it's way.

It really is easy as eating Pie. Once you do it for yourself you see just how easy it really is.

But then I am really good with my hands. I'm a carpenter cabinet maker and like working with my hands.

I use and like them all. :D

I agree with rurwin that the Aerotank base is kind of loose, but I'm used to it by now and I love the vape. I also like that base on my ProTank 2. So it's really up to you. Do you want a single coil? Dual coil? A larger tank? A smaller tank?

Yea, I been trying to find some cheaper prices on the Mega and cheapest I can find without knowing if its trustworthy is $30. Then there is still the chance that it might be too large for my liking. From what I've heard and found out seems like maybe the original Aerotank would be my best bet for now at under $20. Read that the newer coils would work with the original Aerotank as well.

Just got the aerotank mega in the mail. Have all of the tanks listed above except the nautilus. I wouldn't go for anything but the mega IMO. Thoroughly loving it. The new coils are divinely even in their draw. The airflow adjustment is second to none. And the machining is flawless. Glad I broke down and got it. Won't look back. I was close to starting my own builds because of the flavor and vapor production. Now I don't feel I have to fiddle with that mess. But I probably will eventually.
The aerotank mini looks just as promising.

I'm going to go against the grain here, I would try an EVOD.

I have the Protank II, (did have a mini but dropped it within 24hrs of having it arrive), but slowly I am beginning to enjoy the EVOD that little bit more. Sure, the Protank looks a whole lot better, I mean, it really is a good looking tank, but for actual use, I like the EVOD. It has a warmer vape, slightly tighter draw and definitely more portable, easier to carry two or three around with different flavors. That being said, the Protank does really come into its own after 30 minutes or so of vaping, really warms up nicely. The EVOD uses the same Protank coils.

I love them both; I love the Protank for its looks and the EVOD for use.

I love and recommend my Nautilus (ss replacement for the glass) Aerotank and PT3 w/Aerobase in that order. The Nautilus is on my MVP2 :)

+1 on the Nautilus. The coils are lower resistance than the Kangers and they are MUCH easier to fill. The gap between the tank sides and the center post is enormous.
