Tank Battle: Kayfun Vs. Kraken... and GO.

I'm sure this has been done/asked before. Figured I'd start another one.

Arguments/recommendations for Kraken Vs kayfun (and any other tank RBAs) are welcome, and especially photos of your pride and joy.

I am digging the Kayfun Lite Plus series, and all the after market stuff I can do with Kayfuns, but damn, the kraken looks awesome. Regardless of which on I settle on, I will probably get the blue glass for it, because I think it looks really nice.

Won't be my only atty, as I am also getting an RDA, but wanted something to make the Stingray X more portable. So which RBA/tank atty performs the best out of the two? Pros, cons? Yes, I may just get both. lol. Either way, figured some of you might have fun with this.

Thanks!

Jaffo

Would prefer AFC of some type so I have more vape options. Taifuns look good too. Thank you for the note on having to tip the Kraken. I don't mind having to tip, I don't think, as long as I can fix the leaks. Trying to decide on a nice looking tank that I can trick out a bit that will work reliably on the SRX in 18350 mode. I can make either of the Ks work, I suppose. Maybe I'm looking for an excuse to ask for more pics. Haha

I have both kraken and kayfun. They are two different creatures. Me, personally, I use my kayfun more because I think it produces a better flavor and flavor is really what I'm after. My kracken, no matter how much I wash, and soak it, has a machine like taste. A sort of oil or solvent. I'm going to try soaking it in vodka next to see if it can break up that strange solvent like taste it gives off. I do like kracken vapor production but that metal type taste just does not cut it for me. Looking beyond the strange metelic taste, kracken still does not provide the flavor the kayfun does. Speaking from my experience with both

Hey sis, have you tried wicking the Kraken with cotton or do you use SS cable or mesh? I'm just curious as to if that may be the reason behind your strange metallic taste... I've been thinking about getting a Kraken, but I'm not a fan of SS cable/mesh and/or ecowool... I have seen video of it being wicked with cotton though. :)

I have20 drippers and love them but I always wanted a tank, tried the kayfun, fogger 4, aqua, and aios
None did it for me.
I'm about to take the plunge to either a Kraken or a aquilo and going to use rayon. I figured that out should work exactly as my origens, with dual vertical coils and rayon but with a good tank.
I think the simplicity of a dripper is what had kept me off the vacuum type but the Genesis seem to offer that and more using rayon or cotton

If you think this has been asked before, why start another thread in lieu of using the search button or google?

The kayfun and kraken are two completely different style tanks. Its like asking whether you like apples or oranges better.

Because I figured I wasn't the only one who'd like to see a fresh discussion about it. As time goes by, new products come out, people change their minds, etc.

And I'm sure plenty of folks out there would be willing to share pics of stuff they didn't have the last time.

But hey - great attitude there, buddy. I'm pretty new when it comes to vaping, but I'm not an idiot. Try again. Or... do you just not have anything valuable to share?

Thanks to the rest of you. I'm getting a great education here. :)

I get that they're completely different in a few ways, but was looking for some opinions and detail. I'm comparing the two because they are both RTAs and I want an RTA to use when I don't feel like dripping or when I leave the hizzy.

I have also watched vids and seen tutorials on wicking the Kraken with cotton. In fact, I don't plan on using mesh at all, regardless of which of these I end up with.

MoonBogg, then why do so many people use them? :)

Huh? I'm talking about an RDA with a tank system above the coils that you can drip any viscosity juice easily, doesn't leak, easy to use etc. What did you think I meant? A kayfun? I'm using one right now and love it. I was asking about a different beast.

Huh?!

attitude? Lol. I read and re-read my post and no where is there attitude. I simply pointed out an issue that you identified in your first post but appeared too lazy to do on your own. I don't even have to go 3 pages back to find a handful of threads on the Kayfun. Personally, your post may be more productive if you researched on your own and came up with a list of questions rather than the blanket statement of "any arguments/recommendations for the Kayfun vs kraken" in your first post. Also, how am I supposed to know that you understand these are different tanks based on your first post? You don't mention it anywhere.

If you would like me to be constructive, alright. Have you looked at the Erlkonigin or the Rose? Why the kraken when there are many other genesis style RBAs out there? Do you want clone or authentic?

And as you can tell from the responses in this thread, it is all about personal preference. You just need to identify what you are looking for in an RBA and jump in.
