Tank DIY, any good sources of info?

Hey guys! I am trying to get into DIY for components, and the first thing I want to do is make a custom tank with polypropylene tubing, cuz they look fly. I am also interested in drilling a hole in it like Mom and Pop's does (don't worry, I've bought many of their tanks and will continue to do so!) to use with some cool PC case thumbscrews I have lying around (accessorize all the things!). I was wondering if anyone had any good references that I could look at to get me started with this.

Mainly, I want to get one together that is nice and pink for my girlfriend. I do not intend to become a vendor, compete with anyone, or anything like that. It's just a side project for fun!

The problem I see you having is that you want it in pink. Unless you intend to paint it or somethng, the minimum order quantities for custom color of polypro tubing will be very high.

RayN, my research from last night is indicative of that. Looks like it is not possible to do such a thing without making it a bulk order, which I have no intention of doing.

Does the company you shop with do color? I wonder if it would be possible for you to do a groupon type deal where if enough people order an item, you'll then buy the parts and make it.

This idea intrigues me! Where can I get sufficiently small quantities of window tint? I think this may do the trick.

Was just going to suggest that. I also seem to remember there's a vendor offering Tank Wraps or something to that effect. Looked like it was probably pieces of colored window or shrink film.
Can't recall who it was though
