Navigator2011. I base my posts on truth and experience. I always taught my son never say something you can't backup or you will become know as a BS er. I have physically taken the coils apart. I have personaly seen the black flakes that are talked about even on Aspires own website. I have personaly seen the little black bits sucked into the spit screen. I have personaly rebuilt them with organic Japanese cotton. I have personaly opened up the rebuilt ones and have not seen the same thing as when I open a stock Aspire coil. The rebuilt Japanese ones show no similar signs of what I see in the Atlantis stock coil thats been vaped for a while. Dont get me wrong. (as every one seems to on this forum) I love the Atlantis tank or I wouldn't even bother using it. It's a great design that blows clouds of smoke. It can also be adjusted for more flavor and less smoke. It's the closest thing to dripping. It's the coils that I hope they change. Again this is not based on reading a forum. I have physically experienced and witnessed it for myself ! Don't believe it ? Open one up. My son recently watched me open his up and stated "Is that what I have been vaping ? Is that whats going into my lungs?" Take the end with the 2 big holes. Put a screwdriver through it and pull it off. Take off the rubber insulator. Get a drill bit and push the cotton and coil out from the insulator end. Peel off the cotton and observe for yourself. You will be more than surprised. Now everyone can feed you the crap about what went into your lungs when you smoked. Point well take. Now that I'm not smoking I dont want any silica or other foreign substances in my lungs. I see your in California. I was stationed in the Marines there. I noticed people in California seemed to take health and excercise pretty serious. So I think we should take our vaping and equipment serious. Anyway not trying to be rude or make anyone feel bad. Just expressing what I have had my own experience with. I'm sure some chemical engineer or something of the sort who thinks they know it all will dispute everything that I said. That's ok. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion as long as they can be respectful and considerate of others. Good Day To You !

Another factor in the harshness/throat hit is the pg level.... Higher pg juices (cheaper brands for example) have more throat hit, so if just dropping the Nic level doesn't fix your issue, try changing up your mixture......i like a 30/70 pg to vg mix.

I also can't reiterate enough how amazingly easy it is to rebuild the occ heads for the sub tank :p
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.

OK, fair enough. I don't discount that you saw what you said you did, as compared to the pure cotton. I just feel that there's a lot of negativity about vaping, and particularly Aspire, going around right now, and I think a good portion of it is undue. At any rate, when I looked into my spent coil, it appeared that bits of gunked juice had popped loose and landed on the screen. That particular coil was annoying because it always started with a loud "pop" before vaping as it should. I don't recall feeling anything weird coming through with the vapor, though. My current coil, which I think I better primed, doesn't pop or act weird at all. This whole experience just made me think I'd just change the coil more frequently instead of vaping until it tastes weird or something.

Hey Navigator2011, Thanks for the reply and thanks for no taking anything I said the wrong way. Yes the atlantis coils tend to pop and sizzle I think due to oversaturation of juice depending on the viscoscity of the juice your using. Again I love the CF Sub Ohm battery and Atlantis combo its awesome ! They just need to fix the possible issues with the coils. I think seeing that Kangar advertises organic cotton coils Aspire will follow suit. One more thing with the popping I find that before I inhale if I exhale gently first while firing the coil it lets the excess juice burn off then I inhale and I dont get as much juice "spitting" back at me.
