I'm looking for a tank style mod to vape high VG juices that is simple to use. I currently run the DCT with Boge cartos and it works okay, but I don't like having to punch holes in the cartos constantly. I've tried the Nova and don't like the quality of the vapes. I get a lot of dry hits which I've read is a problem with them, probably especially with high VG. Has anyone used the Acorn tank. I know it is a CE2 tank, so will it have the same issues as the Nova? Will it handle thinker juices well? Are there any other suggestions?

As always, any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, I get that. It works well when I punch the cartos, but I don't want to have to constantly do that. I'm wanting a tank, like a CE2, where you don't have to punch the cartos but can just fill and vape. Thanks for the reply though.

I have seen vendors that offer double punched cartos. Also, a slice with a dremel might be better for super thick all VG.

Nearly everything that requires wicking/capillary action will have problems with high VG. You could thin your juice with distilled water or PGA to use a CE2/3/4/5/218/.../ type Cartomizer, but then you are just trading one time intensive labor for another.

Maybe you just need a more efficient carto punch?

But, by all means, experiment and find what works best for you.

here is something to consider....

I have switched over to this system for the last couple of months (same atomizer) and can't say enough good things about it!! I love the fact that it is AMERICAN MADE!! (and sourced) but also I know the unit is free of contaminants like nasty solder and fiberglass and that makes me feel great about using my AVA with RES kit! Did I mention it's American made????
Also forgot to mention...AVA is great for high VG juices!!
I will check on the linky.....:)

For me, that carto punch would be a waist of a $20 bill. Most carto punchers that I've seen are WAY over priced for what they are. That perticular one is $5 drill bit hub and a sharpened $.25 screw. I use a an old chunk of 2x4 with a 5/16" hole drilled in it and a 2" deck screw. However, I do realize that not everyone can make their own stuff. In which case you have to be willing to pay market price.
