I need help! My boyfriend and I are relatively new to vaping (started a couple months ago). Recently he bought us both itaste MVPs. I had ordered a Kanger protank 2 for a different battery I had and just transferred it to my MVP. He bought something different (kayfun lite). Well he didn't like the amount of airflow he got so he went and drilled a hole in the base (he saw a video online that said he could and it would still work). Now it's broken and leaks everywhere.

He prefers his mech/dripping (?) but was going through WAY too much juice vaping on it all the time. Now he's tallking about getting some other tank (atty genesis style). I want him to get something he will be satisfied with with out having to modify. We don't have the money to continue to buy $30 tanks and fast tech takes too long to ship. What can I get for him so he will stop insisting that there is a better tank that will give him better flavor?! I'm seriously annoyed. He swears his mech has the best flavor ever. I disagree- he operates the ohms too low, burns the juice too hot and I taste absolutely nothing. I'm tired of having this argument.

Can someone make some suggestions for the tank that will get the best vape flavor for itaste MVP? And give reasons it's your preference? Thanks in advance.

Lol he's already turned into a cloud chucking gear snob. It's too late. Drilling a kayfun was a big mistake. He could try one of the versions with an airflow control. Maybe someone can recommend something.

Enjoy your MVP, you have a nice rig. It's kind of a shame when vapers get so et up with gear that they can't enjoy a good setup.

If the concern is money on juice, maybe DIY juice is a good way to go?

Hard for everyone to agree on "the best" for anything. That Kayfun he ruined will probably come close to being the "best" he would ever get. You can get Kayfun lite clones on ebay for $35. They have their own adjustable air flow - no need to drill.

Speaking for me though, once you use a Kayfun it's very hard to go to anything else.

And really... why can't he just keep using his mechanical mod if that's what he wants? :D

Whatever is the best today will be old news in a few weeks. The genesis was the atty a while ago but it had some problems that the kayfun fixed. The kayfun has some problems, filling and getting at your build, that the expromiser fixed, no clones yet so it cost $80. The kayfun, and the russian are pretty much the top dogs in attys today.

I agree with everyone above. Hard to beat the flavor and convenience of a Kayfun Lite+ or a Russian 91%.

If I were your BF, I'd look into more research before buying the genesis-style RBA's. That's what I started rebuilding with, and they can be a PITA. They tend to develop shorts, leak if not held upright, and you have to tilt them (the "genny tilt") to get them to wick properly. The stainless steel mesh wicks can be difficult to roll tiny enough to fit into the wick hole. IMHO, there are much better designs (Kayfun-style rebuildables). I currently own a KFL+ and some rebuildable drip atomizers, and by far I prefer the convenience of the KFL+.

Another option might be cartotanks. Better flavor and consistancy than a clearomizer, but nowhere near the flavor you can get with a Kayfun or rebuildable drip atomizer.

So it seems like the general consensus here is to stick with a kayfun or make our own juice. I will let him know what you all had to say about the atty vs. the kayfun. Does anyone know if it is possible to just buy a replacement base? Seems silly that a rebuildable tank (atomizer? Sorry still confused about terms) should make individual parts for sale. Thanks for the help and quick responses!

Hi I use the kayfun and taifun on my mvp2. They both are wonderful and give the flavor of dripping. They both are easily built without issue. These tanks really bring out the best flavor! These are the two I use and I'm very happy. Great vapor and top notch flavor!! Hope this helps. I can't stress enough how these tanks really bring out the juice flavors! Best tanks I've ever used. You will NOT be disappointed with these tanks. Your flavors will really pop! Best wishes.

To clarify. Yes, a kayfun type is probably the best choice generally speaking for flavor and convenience. He's already a dripper? If so, then yes, kayfun type is probably the solution. But dripping is kind of the ultimate in flavor and clouds, so it is possible that he is spoiled to that, the drawback being use lots of expensive juice. If that is the case, perhaps DIY juice will create some savings.

If it is an authentic Kayfun (costing >$100), then it may be possible to buy a new base. If it is a clone (between 20 and 30), then I don't think anyone sells the components, probably cheaper to buy an all new one. I might suggest the Russian 91 that has an adjustable airflow. If you take the screw out, it's pretty airy.
