I don't know anything about the $2 tanks, but the $11 tanks are made by smoktech and come pre-assembled with the 1.6ohm dc carto. You can buy replacement carto's for the tank set-up at 3ohms which would be fine for hv vaping. I own one of these smoktech tanks and for the price they work great and I would recommend them. The flanged pre-punched dc carto's are great and I'm not a carto person usually.

cheers,

p.s. I'm using this system on a provari.

One item is a combination of a tank and a special dual coil cartomizer. The other "tank" in question is the replacement cartomizer. unfortunately, MadVapes doesn't sell the tank without the cartomizers nor are they offering one with more resistance. On the bright side, other sites are offering just the tank but it costs just as much as MV's combo deal. So...your best off spending the extra $2 for the 3 Ohm replacement.

Am I the only one who uses the 1.5 for 6v vaping? If they are going to use a VV mod for HV vaping the 1.6 cart included should be fine. Probably warmer then used to, but thats how I like mine. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesnt the vv mod only go to 5v?

It all depends on what vv mod you have. My provari goes up to 6 volts but has protection built in that usually won't allow a 1.6ohm atty to work. I'm vaping a 1.5-6 ohm carto at 3.7-4 volts and it's plenty warm with great vapor... even if my provari would allow me to vape at 6volts with this carto it would ruin the taste of the juice. ymmv

cheers,

Thank you gatorfan. Sorry I completely forget about the other mods out there. I just assumed the original poster ment the vv box mod from madvapes. I also understand your point on ruining the taste. Most of the juices I vap I prefer at a high volt. I do have a couple I prefer at a lower volt. Thank you once again for your reply
