Hey Guys its been along long time since I logged on. I Just got in the mail my Variable Volt Box Mod w/ Voltage Indicator from Madvapes. I got to say this is is pretty sweet but im not sure if the issue I am having is a known issue cause its just made like that or is it a defect. I bought my ultra fire 14500 (gray) and trustfire charger t001 or something like that and the Variable Volt Box Mod w/ Voltage Indicator from madvapes. As normal their shipping is very fast and all order is complete. I unpackage and charge my 14500 to full (full charge) then I install it in my new VV, I throw on my DCT tank which has a DC 1.5 ohm cart and set to 5V. It seems my juice doesnt like the high volt so i lower to ok 4.0 hmmm sees good. So I go with my normal vaping 2 draws 5-10 seconds of rest then 2 more draws. I do this 4 times (8 draws total), I notices the volts going down slowly and the bottom of the box getting very hot. On my 9th draw the LED goes nuts and shows like 2.7 then 888 and goes off, no power. I wait a moment and try again still low volts and 888 then cuts all power. This is my first VV and not a high end one. So im not sure if im just vaping too hard on this or is it a defect, could it be the battery? Please let me know if anyone knows. I love the higher volts I have only been using a Ego with cartos, ego tank A/B then now a DCT Tank. I just dont know if all VV are like this or what, a but confused. Thanks in advance.

If I take 8 draws (2 draws with 5-10 seconds rest in between) then wait for like a min or 2 then I am good for another 8 draws. But that kinda feels hmmmm not right to me. I dont think I over vape or anyting, or am I ? I have not had any issues with my dse 901, riva to Ego all continues cape with no issue but this is a VV maybe they are like that giving a higher volt ? im not sure.

Thanks
Kenji

Just an update,

I submitted a ticket to support as just a question as i did not know if the VV was made like that and I was vaping too hard or not but Paul from Madvapes said he will send me another one with a prepaid slip to send the current one back. Very cool, fast response and it feels like a very kind gesture. I should have it by the weekend i think..... I did order new batts, AW 14500 IMR for altsmoke because members on the forum said it might be the batts that are causing the issue. Ill keep everyone posted. Thanks

Oh sorry LOL was on the other threads, Yes i did receive my replacement. Sad to say it has the same issues, but I think its my fault. I do not think these are meant to be used with Dual coils carts. I got my order yesterday from Gotvapes and those carts are single coil. When used on the madvapes VV, the VV got warm to hot but by that time... I am done vaping. So in terms single coil only, sure you can use dual but it will get hot and basically turn off (if you are driving and have the AC on then its fine if you cool it down with the AC LOL) Over all Its a good Unit and I will keep my new one and return the old one and apologize for wasting their time.

Oh and your question on the Batteries. I ordered the ultrafires 14500 from Madvapes, but others said the batteries could be the issue. So i went ahead and ordered 2 AW IMR from altsmoke, it had the same issues I am sad to say. But over all i should be ok with just using single coils until I can buy my Provari black with Blue LED (debating either mini or normal size)
