Just wonder what the deal with hygiene is? Should I be washing my tank out with anything in particular, or just water and how often? I've just been washing it out with water each time I fill with a different liquid, but not if I'm using the same juice. I've also been putting my drip tip through dish washer every few days, excessive?

Many ways of looking at it. Some cleaning is a MUST.
I use sonic cleaning (+ Milton) on a new clearomiser/rebuildable atomiser. Not the coil and wick, but the rest.
Mostly, I just rinse my tanks out with warm water every few fills.

I must say, I've not had any bug of any type since starting vaping (getting on for 2 years...) no cold, coughs, viruses, nothing!! :)
The power of propylene glycol? maybe....

My friend says you should wash it with warm water and let it sit out to dry. I myself have had the same question. I also am having a hard time getting the wick part out. The screw for it seems too tight on when I bought it. My other friend suggests cleaning it with PGA, but that just seems like a waste of good liquor down the drain, so I'd recommend the warm water for sure and maybe those little soft scrubby brushes to get the liquid out that gets stuck maybe. Good luck! :D

to clean between flavours I would just recommend running under hot water for a while and drying thoroughly, if it's a clearo then try and leave it drying overnight (you could leave to dry over a radiator though to speed the process up), if it's a rebuildable then again hot water and just dry with a paper towel. When you get a new tank though always try to give it a good clean in some Milton etc......just make sure you rinse thoroughly afterwards.
