I always enjoy Scott's reviews but that is my favorite so far.

I like the extra touch he does with adding the shorter wick also, seems like it will hold more juice that way on the area for the coil.

When you use your Odysseus do you find the liquid control opening is relevant to the thickness of the juice ? Thinner juice requires less opening than a thicker juice ?

Setting the positive post as Scott shows in the video allows enough airflow and makes a solid connection ? It's really interesting that adjusting the airflow changes the throat hit consistency.

Flavor on this device has to be amazing is all I can imagine. Did your ceramic have the mixed soapy taste that had to be removed with an open blue flame ?

Sorry for all the questions but these really interest me. My wife may not be as thrilled as I am about it when she sees the checkbook so I may have to sweeten her up with some new heels first

The juice flow control will vary depending on PG/VG ratio. At a 70/30 pg/vg ratio, I usually turn the juice control 1.5 full turns, and at 100% vg its about 2.5 full turns.

The way I set the airflow is by screwing the base to the mod until snug, I then screw on the rebuildable part until it touches the center pin. This causes less of a gap between top of the mod and the base of the odysseus, which then creates a stiffer draw.

The flavor of this device is amazing, being able to create your own coil with specific ohm's and a provari to adjust the voltage = vaping bliss. Currently I'm running a 1.8ohm double wick(Scotts video) at 4.7volts which equals to 12 watts. I can tell you that the throat hit is crazy, the vapor is warm and the flavors just pop. As to the soapy taste, I did have it a first but eventually vaped through it. It also helped that I was vaping Earl Grey Tea e-juice. Don't worry though, this was only an issue with the first production run, and not all of them had the soapy taste, since my second unit didn't have it, as well as other ECF members.

I used to use the VPX cartomator tanks, but they are all collecting dust at the moment. I never understood what people meant about tasting the filler material in cartos, until i did a side by side comparison. I have a 10 packs of 3ohm boge cartos, and 12 packs of XL ce2s(see avatar, lol) and since purchasing my 2 odysseus I haven't touched any of them.

I am ordering a Provari as well and would be interested in the best tank to get. SOme tanks I have seen recommended are the DCt and the M1A1. I would prefer stability over features.

Zerominusone,
What is the difference between the Provari V2 you would order today and the one with the blue LED besides the blue LED.

AmNate = gave you the answer below and I disagee with this answer zerominusone

AmnNate = There is no difference. It's just 15 dollars more to have a sweet blue screen and button instead. That really is the only difference.

The correct answer here the way I see it is the Provari V2 that you would purchase today would have the upgrade of the 3.5Amp switch, which Provape is charging a $20 service fee plus shipping to upgrade the original V1 Provari to the V2 Provari, or the new V2 comes with this 3.5Amp switch. so that would be the difference if you purchased a V2 today compared to the older Provari V1,,, You would get the 3.5Amp switch, which makes a pretty big difference in my opinion.

Straight from the Provape website = Amperage Limiting to 3.5 amps
The ProVari will monitor and shut itself off if it detects any excessive over-current conditions.

If this error occurs the ProVari will alert you by displaying E2 on the digital display.
Fix: Lower your voltage setting.

V2 - Version 2 now has a higher amperage limit of 3.5amp for low resistance atomizers and cartomizers.

Hope this is of help and it is the real difference from the old Provari V-1 compared to todays Provari V-2

mwa, I thought he was asking "what is the difference between the current V2 and the blue LED version being released on March 15th". Therefore, there is no difference other than the color of the LED. I was correct if that's what he was asking. If he was asking the difference in the current V2 and the old V1 with the blue LED option, then yes, you are correct. Either way, I believe we answered his question. Thank you for the help.

There are lots of tank options out there. I definitely recommend using a tank on the Provari for an all day, hassle free vaping experience. Whatever type you decide to go with, I would suggest the 3 ml size. Here's a breakdown of my own experience.

The Jonboy lava tank: My personal favorite. Looks fantastic, easy to fill, provides and excellent vape. If I had my way, this would be the only tank I would use. Unfortunately, these tanks are difficult to come by because they are individually handcrafted by a real person who seems to have an actual rl outside the vaping world.

The Liquinator: I really like these tanks. I have a SS and a delrin which I purchased early on. I felt these were easy to fill, provided a good vape, and I've never had any leaking. There were a lot of people on the forums who complained they were too "slidey" though. I personally didn't have a problem with that, but the company apparently listened to what customers said and started making them fit the cartos tighter. I ordered a couple of the aluminum ones later, and imo they fit too tightly. They are starting to loosen up some now, but when I first got them they were extremely difficult to fill.

The Mini-Sub from Mom & Pops: I ordered a couple of these recently to use temporarily while waiting to acquire some tanks that are more difficult to get. The best thing about these tanks is their price. They are very inexpensive. They work well and have a fill port so they are easy to refill. They also vape well, can handle my cv drip tips, and don't leak. My biggest complaint with these is that it can be difficult to change out the carto.

I will be receiving a Phideas frosted tank and an ACTv4 this week. The main reason I ordered these is they are immune to cracking. Some liquids like cinnamons and citrus flavors can cause the polycarbonite tubing in other tanks to crack. I've never personally had this happen (knock on wood), but I am careful about what liquids I use. I have also heard an awful lot of good things about the Lil Mama tank. I know you can also buy glass tubes that will fit the Lil Mama so that sounds like a good option.

As I mentioned earlier, there are plenty of tank options out there. As you can see, I am a huge tank fan and would highly recommend anyone using a Provari to explore the world of tanks.
