Tank Only Leaks When It's Near Empty

Anyone else notice this?
I keep thinking that I have bad cartos or tank, but it seems to be that when the tank is near empty the juice heats up and becomes thinner, that's when the leak problems start (runs out the bottom of the tank).Fill the tank again and no problems.
Am I thinking straight, or do I just have bad gear?

The only problem I have with my theory is that it seems to leak out the bottom hole of the carto as well.

It's a common issue. Just try to keep the tank at least 1/4 full and that should fix your issue.

(less juice, hotter it gets, easier it is to be forced out.. It's also why you shouldn't leave your tank in the car on hot days...)

Glad you confirm, I was ready to throw out my tanks and cartos and try new.
And yes, below 1/4 of a tank seems to be when the problems begin.

It might not be actual leaking but condensation. As your tank gets empty some of the vapor gets heated up and you get condensation that goes down the center thru the punched holes. It happens even on my Odysseus atomizer when it gets real low. A good way to check if it is condensation, take a good long drag, then quickly screw off the carto tank and you will see vapor coming out of the 510 connection.

You are getting juice and air at the same time. When you get air - any vacuum in the tank is gone and most of the tanks run off of NO air in the tank (any oddy fan will know this). Start getting air - you will start getting gurgles, and leaks. Oddyseus atomizers themselves - same thing - run all day until they get low (in my experience) then - they will gurgle and whatnot if the juice gets too low. Keep them fairly filled - and vape on.

It is pretty typical for BCCs to turn into juice straws at about 1/8th full. It has to do with where the head is relative to the juice in the tank. If you are sucking juice from the tank into the center post, it will drain through the bottom air hole. It looks and acts like a leak but, it really isn't.

If the issue goes away when the tank is refilled, it isnt likely a leaking issue.

Best thing, as mentioned above, is to not let the tank go below about 1/8th (the level varies based on the tank I am using as well).

Great Post and advice

Surprise, mine do the same thing. As soon as my Artemas Tanks get below one quarter they flood the carto and leak out of the bottom hole. Also my tanks get VERY warm sometimes and I only use single coil, double punched Smoktech cartos in my tanks. I just let them cool down a bit and vape on. Other that that little quirk, I haven't found a better method of juice delivery than carto tanks.
