Greetings! I'm looking for some advice regarding a tank or clearomizer setup. I currently have 2 V4L dial a volt bats, the only problem is I HATE their DCT's. Seems like they either clog or leak. I ordered a clearomizer from Totally Wicked and an 808 to 510 adapter. Works ok, but I start to get a burnt taste at higher voltage. I'm sure the obvious solution would be to buy a VV from TW, but I have too much invested in the V4L gear I have. Looking for a good tank or cart system that works well at the 4.8 volt setting and doesn't taste like a burnt sock lol. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and happy vaping. Cheers!

I have an Ego twist in the mail, but failed and ordered CE4's rated 1.8-2.0 ohms. I will probably order a 2.4ohm with replaceable heads to be able to handle the higher voltage. Here is a chart that may help you choose the right tank/cart for your VV.

Here is a chart that may help you choose the right tank/cart for your VV.
The above safe vaping power chart is extremely useful to use as a general guideline for deciding on the proper ohm to voltage combo. The guy who created the chart wrote the following article: Guide to Safe Vaping - E-Cigarette Safety | Ecig Advanced Community Blog

The beauty of variable voltage is to be able to tune the voltage applied to the juice delivery device for each specific flavor in your collection. Each one will have it's own "sweet spot" of voltage. Start low and work your way up in increments until you detect some burnt taste, then knock the voltage down a couple notches.

Your results may vary, but I have found the fruit or fruity flavors to taste best below 3.7 volts. My coffee flavors are best between 4.0 and 4.8 volts. And I have a red hot cinnamon flavor that I like to vape at 5.8 volts.

The correct ohm or resistance is extremely important to use in order to find the widest safe range with a variable voltage battery. I think you will find a 2.5 ohm to 3.0 ohm carto to work best.

I REALLY appreciate all the feedback so far. Alot to look into. Glad to have a forum like this. I'm still a bit of a noob and trying to transition from a 30 yr smoker to a full time vaper, guess that's why I look for heavy vape and th and keep crankin the volts...

HI Johann, you don't say what your using- VG/PG% and mg/ml nic.
Maybe higher PG% and higher nic will help.

I was in the same spot, stated at 3.3 lowest setting on a twist with boge 2.5ohm catomizer ( advise from Baditude) and a 2.8 vision clearamizer.
Found on boge 3.7 works good and on clearamizer I run it a 4.3 + a hair call it 4.5 .Left these set at that. And started trying different juices, problem they all taste the same, guess till get taste buds back.

I like higher voltage vaping as well. Boges are wonderful. Are you handy enough to slot them with a dremil or punch holes in them with a carto punch tool? If you can do that and cut the tank tube down to fit them it will let you buy the cheap Boge 3 ohm SR. They rock in a carto tank at higher voltage. Just make sure to prime them well.

hi JUDGMENT AFFIRMED, higher PG and higher nic means extra TH and risk of DH,...but higher PG has an advantage of better taste,...it's your choice Johann....For me,...i Use 30%PG:70%VG 9mg nic,...:vapor:
