I searched and didn't find a good answer to my question, so here goes... I'm thinking of purchasing a tank mod and I've heard people say how they "vape", both good and bad. I'm a little confused here. Seems to me the carto is what's responsible for the vape, not the tank. I'm sure juice delivery has something to do with it but again, I would think that has more to do with the slotting or hole size in the carto. I figure if it seals well, that's about all that should matter in a tank, right??? :/

I know this belongs in a different forum but, 3rd post so, well, you know... ;)

well I really like carto tanks I think they're great I couldn't imagine using a tube mod without one but I don't care for the Dual coil carto in a tank I seem to have a over wicking problem with most of the DCC no matter small the hole is using a 100% vg so I gave up on them and cut the ones I bought down to fit a boge carto

Yes, they carto is responsible for the vapor production and not the tank. Tank is just used to feed the carto. I have only encountered one that I didn't like due to the tank cracking...vendor even replaced it but it cracked out the same day again and I wasn't using any types of juice that would have caused it. The vendor uses acrylic tubing and not polycarbonate. Other than that, I've had good luck with mine.

I've got 3-4 tanks going in rotation at all times for in the home. they work great. I bought the cheaper ones from myvapestore, less than $5 w/o the carto. Since they are so cheap I actually cut a couple down to fit the LR boges. The problems are indeed related more to the cartos and how you make the hole to feed the juice, than the tank itself. I tend to use both LR Boge and ST LR Catrtos and have better overall experience with the Boges but they both work well. I've tried a few different methods of making the hole, and the best for me is the partial slot / hole method described here.

I have a dct2 and a liquinator, picked up the liquinator yesterday. I have to say the liquinator using boges has a better draw to it. I have used both tanks on mys vv and on 510t bats. Both tanks last a while but the liquinator is a tighter fit and feels safer. I would like to try one of the stone take mods but they have been sold out.

When I started not so long ago I got annoyed with filling cartos. My wife doesn't mind doing it. I purchased a tank for $20 at a local store and love it. Didn't like the price. I did some shopping around for polycarbonate hard tube at local places with no luck. I did on a whim stop at ace hardware and they have tubing that is used to dispense drinks out of that you can buy in 1 ft pieces vs lowes and home depot you need to buy it in bulk sizes. I also picked up sink gaskets that ft te carto perfectly and sealed the tube to make a home mad tank for under $2 with my military discount. It's kind of ugly looking but does the job and was cheep. My wife lied it enough I got er set up with one. I take a punch to create 2 dents in my carto then use the bottom half of a dart to pierce the carto. (a little tricky but it works). If you wanted to try a tank for a cheep price it could be a good alternative. We have been using ours for over a week and no leaks at all or have I had any problems with the caps popping off. The tubing is polycarbonate flexible tubing so I had to go a little thicker but once cut down to size it keeps it shape and it is approved by the USDA for liquid dispensing.

yep SMOKTech 510 Dual Coil Tank Tube I got 4 tanks for under $20 and cut them down to fit a boge can't beat the price

Thats a SMOKTech device? I've heard mixed reviews on these... not to mention a HILARIOUS, albeit bad, review from PBusardo, if it's the same thing. But WOW!!! Can't beat that price! Think I'm gonna have to jump on that!

They have minor flaws (only slightly loose fitting) but work just fine. And yes, that video was awesome!
