Even though I thoroughly clean my tanks in hot water before replacing it with a new liquid, I'm still experiencing some trouble with residual tastes from the previous liquid that was in the tank. I'm experimenting with DIY and thoroughly enjoying this newfound interest with some good success, can anyone help in pointing me to the right direction on how to be able to get to the "real" taste of my new liquids without the after-taste of the previous one? I use simple eGo batteries and Kanger tanks.

Should I try a dripper?

Is there any residual taste problem with those?

And lastly, if that's the way to go, what kind would you suggest I get to fit my eGo batteries? Any help is most appreciated!

Try anything you can rewick and dry burn. My igo-s is my taster. My other igo-s is my current all day atty.

When it gets funky, I chuck the wick, rinse everything in the tap, dry burn the coil clean, rinse, and rewick. Re wicking for the taster means pulling a barely noticeable portion of cotton ball, rolling it between my fingers, and threading it through the coil. Takes about 4 mins from start to finish. Oftentimes, I don't bother with anything but rewicking. Same coil in that one for a month or so- no plans to replace it.

We tried boiling some stuff which was unsuccessful, but the method I prefer with strong flavors is soaking in vodka (cheap vodka works great) and then rinsing like crazy...I sometimes let them dry overnight, but I have the patience of a 3 year old so I usually just dry them out the best I can with a paper towel and refill with a new flavor. No issues with bad tastes, just make sure you give it a while to soak. Good luck :)

thanks the IGO-S dripper looks very interesting to me indeed.

Sorry if I'm slow here as I've not ever used a dripper:

1) so if a dripper is used to test one juice, can you just dry burn it until that juice is gone and then load it up with another juice without worrying too much about the previous taste?

2) On your IG-S, you can just use a piece of cotton ball for the wick, and then simply thread it through the coil? won't that burn the cotton?
