Tanks...I think I'm starting to lose it here. I really don't understand alot about these things.
Let me try and make this thread as easy as I can make it to understand what I'm trying to know.
I'll try and organize this thread so you can go back and look at the many questions that I have and will continue to have until someone tells me a direct answer. So please, give me your knowledge and bear with me here.

1. Can clearomizer tanks use boge or dual coil cartomizers instead of the original clearomizer?
2. A tank is basically a big cartomizer..yet, the clearomizer works so much better in tank form rather than it's original, carto sized crappy plastic self..why is that?
3. Where can I purchase the MC tank if I'm living in New York? The tank is in another language and honestly, I hate watching Scott's reviews on youtube because I know that half the products he reviews, I cannot purchase.
4. Can the MC tank be used with a boge 3.0 SR carto? Or a DCC?
5. Why do different tanks perform differently? Doesn't it only matter if the cartomizer/clearomizer in the middle is working properly? The only thing I can find different about tanks is the aesthetic part of it. The looks, and the material used in making them. Some are made with high grade materials and some are used with generic plastic materials. So what is the difference from one cartomizer tank from another? whats the difference from one clearomizer tank from another? Besides using the different carto/clearo.
6. Why are some tanks so EXPENSIVE???! Some go as high up as 55$!! Just because the ENDCAPS are made of stainless steel or metal...That's rediculous..
7. What tanks do you use?
8. Are the DCC/regular carto tanks better than the clearo tanks because the clearo tanks only have a wicking issue?
As I mentioned before, can a boge tank be used on a clearo tank and vice versa?
9. How can I tell which tanks are of good quality and good performance? The cheap, DCC smoktek tanks are said to be one of the weaker tank mods and theyre extremely cheap too. However, the MAP tanks look just like these tanks...so do the chibi tanks on parkesvapor. Are these all the same tank?
10. A tank is basically o-rings and a see-through tube and two holes on each end right? Why do vendors sell them for so much money?
11. Why are the innards of the clearo tanks extremely expensive when you could just buy a clear for basically 80% of the innards price?
12. What tanks do you like?
13. Again, where can I get the MC tank, as a matter of fact, how can I buy products that aren't from american vendors? Scott has been able to buy U.S. products without any problems. How does he do this?
14. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only thing a person looks for in a tank is if it leaks right? Why do reviews on youtube always say that the tanks vape awesome? Its the frickin clearo/carto thats doing that!
15. Can you give me some good clearo tanks? The MC tank is one of them, I hate how most tanks look almost exactly alike, a thick tube with 2 black delrin end caps and a couple o rings...the mc tank actually has a different look. & it looks great.
I know I'll have more questions about these things. I really can't understand why Im so confused about tanks.
To me, the main problem is the price of these tanks. The price of the innards. & the same kinda generic look that they all have. & people saying that the tank performs exceptionally well when it just takes a carto and make it hold more juice...its all just a big fuzz to me. Please fill me in. Please remember to let me know about the MC tank and other great tank systems that you use personally. Thanks.

1. Can clearomizer tanks use boge or dual coil cartomizers instead of the original clearomizer?

No - I don't think they have suitable holes on the ends to fit a carto

2. A tank is basically a big cartomizer..yet, the clearomizer works so much better in tank form rather than it's original, carto sized crappy plastic self..why is that?

Because the offending parts of the CE2 have been removed - the parts that pinched the wicks

3. Where can I purchase the MC tank if I'm living in New York? The tank is in another language and honestly, I hate watching Scott's reviews on youtube because I know that half the products he reviews, I cannot purchase.

No idea. Most tanks are sold at just one online shop each

4. Can the MC tank be used with a boge 3.0 SR carto? Or a DCC?

I don't know. If it comes with 2 ohm Boges then it can use 3 ohm Boges. if it comes with dual coils then the holes may or may not be too wide, the tank may be too long, for Boges - ask the vendor. if it has CE2 guts then no, it doubt it can use boges. Try sending email to the vendor.

Some fit better, some clear the punctured carto holes better, some keep a better seal longer. re tank material, some materials are more resistant to be eaten/etched/cracked by cinnamon or acidic juices. Sometimes is just user error or a poorly punched carto - for every user you find claiming tank A leaks all over there will be another who has no leaks with it.

6. Why are some tanks so EXPENSIVE???! Some go as high up as 55$!! Just because the ENDCAPS are made of stainless steel or metal...That's rediculous..

Yes. Somebody had to fabricate those metal end caps. The delrin and other plastic/rubber/silicone can probably be molded repeatedly in a mold

7. What tanks do you use?

None yet. I am considering Jtank, Chibi, Baby notta

8. Are the DCC/regular carto tanks better than the clearo tanks because the clearo tanks only have a wicking issue?

I don't use DCC's either. They can sometimes damage the mass produced fat batteries. And I don't need to suck my battery power twice as fast to vape 2 standard resistance coils. People seem to prefer carto tanks these days but I don't know why.

As I mentioned before, can a boge tank be used on a clearo tank and vice versa?

No - I don't think they have suitable holes on the ends to fit a carto

Find threads about them on ECF

10. A tank is basically o-rings and a see-through tube and two holes on each end right? Why do vendors sell them for so much money?

Make your own. Some people make them out of syringes

11. Why are the innards of the clearo tanks extremely expensive when you could just buy a clear for basically 80% of the innards price?

I don't know but somebody had to spend time cutting apart a clearo

12. What tanks do you like?

I do not own one yet but I will be getting one that can use Boges - Jtank, Chibi or Baby Notta are most likely

13. Again, where can I get the MC tank, as a matter of fact, how can I buy products that aren't from american vendors? Scott has been able to buy U.S. products without any problems. How does he do this?

MC tank I don't know. Where is it sold? re other countries- some people buy from China, some Euro sites will ship overseas.

Here - this seems to be the guy that makes MC tanks.

14. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only thing a person looks for in a tank is if it leaks right? Why do reviews on youtube always say that the tanks vape awesome? Its the frickin clearo/carto thats doing that!

I don't know

15. Can you give me some good clearo tanks? The MC tank is one of them, I hate how most tanks look almost exactly alike, a thick tube with 2 black delrin end caps and a couple o rings...the mc tank actually has a different look. & it looks great.

No but I know Cloudsofvapor sells some. Most have moved to carto tanks.

hi kiggas and welcome to ECF:)..for a novice,i would avoid tank cartomizer..as most of the tank cartomizer need patience and know how to overcome problem when it arises from leakage to getting a punch carto to replaced used ones etc etc..i personally not a cartomizer fan..i tried a few but most give problem from crack to leak and poor performance(this can be the battery U using..LR SD HR cartomizers only suitable and use efficiently on correct (from 650 to 2600 mAh batteries..3.7v to 6 v needed..it is a learning curve and getting familiar with yr e-cig and the knowledge gain here will help..good luck..i thought i found my fav cartomizer in micromizer, but 2 good ones followed by 2 leaky ones,i would not be recommending this micromizer..as i still have 6 remaining and becomes expensive to bear the duds ones..now trying out the DCC(dual coil carto) like my kanger should be ok & reliable..still learning from my own mistakes..hahah..regards mafig

If you're new to tanks I'd recommend madvapes dual coil tanks Dual Coil 510 Tank Cartomizer, 3.5ml The 3.5ml are perfect size for an ego, the 5ml are good for silver bullets and other mods. Very cheap, and easy to use. Buy the replacement dual coil cartomizers if you don't want to punch them yourself, they come with a little flange at the bottom to prevent leaking. Awesome, imo.
