What tank setup are we talking about here?

It sounds like whatever you are using is low ohms. eGo C batteries are not designed for low resistance devices. Thus the getting hot and shutting down. They really aren't meant for anything below 2.0 ohms. You might get away with 1.8 ohm devices, but even those will end up wearing out the battery in short order. 1.5 ohms? Bad idea.

Seego tanks. Those are the only ones I have right now because my others burned out.

I'm seeing what they call a CE4 on their site. Is this it? => Large-Capacity CE4 Clearomizer/Cartomizer Wholesale | SZSeego

Dunno. Web info says these are low resistance - but they aren't saying just how low. The other possibility is it's a crap lot and they are shorted. Can you get hold of a volt/ohm meter to check what you are getting for a resistance measurement on these? Based on what you said is going on with them it sounds like they are really low resistance, or flat-out shorted.

I wud have no clue where to get a volt meter lol. Im a big city guy with not alot of electrician experience. Im thinking about buying a Vivi Nova for 10 bucks from a local shop. They said its high end and doesnt burn out easily. Any opinions on that?

Regardless of what kind of tank or carto it is you still need one that is over 2.0 ohms. If those are Vision vivi novas I guess you could call them high end. They still need to be over 2.0 ohm for the ego c. Personally I like them and get a good vape from the Vision vivi novas. If you buy them get a five pack of coils too.

Nobody told you about the electrical training stuff? And the math? lol Every vaper should get even a cheapo meter. Some times it's the only way to tell what is going on. Something like this even for about six bucks: http://www.harborfreight.com/7-function-multimeter-98025.html

I dunno if I would call a Vivi Nova "high end" - these are all variations on clearomizers. A lot of people here swear by them. They are more complicated than that CE4 - more parts. For ten bucks it's something most people would try anyway.

If you like the simplicity of a clearo see if that shop has any of the Kanger clearos, specifically the T3 (new model is T3S) or the MT3 (again new model is the MT3S). At least we know those work. The lowest resistance Kanger makes those in is 1.8 ohms and that will work with you battery. (It's pretty much what I have set up in front of me.)

First time I've heard of Seego here - probably a reason...

Hope this helps.

How long are tanks supposed to last? Ive had like 3 that got a few days use then ended up in the trash cuz they stopped producing vapor

That's just wrong. How long a clearo will last can depend on your liquids. Some flavorings can gunk up coils really fast. (Usually the darker the liquid is the more likely this is going to happen.) Even then, what will happen is the vapor output will go down and down... They shouldn't just be crapping out an producing no vapor at all in a matter of days.

Again, depends on the liquid, how much people vape... I use those Kanger T3's and I've had the coils last up to six weeks with cleaning. The shortest life I think I got out of one was 2 weeks - and that was my fault since it happened when I was cleaning it, not while it was really in use. The coil in these is replaceable too for about $1.99 each. You don't have to toss the entire clearo out if it dies - just replace the coil.

The Vivi Nova is a very different design but the same basics apply: You just replace the coil - not the whole thing - when it's no longer working or working the way you like. Not sure what people get for run times on those (I don't like Vivi Nova personally) but I think it's about a week before it needs cleaning or replacing.

Where are the Vivi Nova users? Usually one or 15 of them would be jumping all over this by now!

As you vape the coils in a cartomizer get gunked up by some of the elements in juice that doesn't evaporate. As the residue builds up the coil loses it's ability to evaporate the liquid and the taste gets muted. With some juices this will happen in just a few days with others it may take weeks before the coils get gunked up. Cartomizers used with clear juices tend to last longer than those used with darker juice.

Some cartomizers and tanks such as the vivi nova are designed so that you can open them up and unscrew the head with the coil and replace it with a new one. The are also people who buy kanthal wire and wick to rewind and replace the coil themselves.

If you buy a vivi nova at you local vape shop they should be able to explain and show you how to replace the heads.

I'm learning fast and I do agree that 1.8 ohms on my EVod with a standard Ego battery burns hot and gives a burnt taste. I just the other day ordered Kangers 2.2 ohm coils. I have noticed that the 1.8 ohm coils taste great the first day but the flavors change from great to burnt. IMO

At 3.3 volts and 1.8 ohm you are only using 6 watts and 1.8 amps. I use Evods up to 7 watts and never had burnt taste. Same with Vision vivi novas. The bottom coil Evods do run hot.

It could be that your cartomizers are less than 1.8 ohms and that could be what is causing you battery to flash. It may also account for the burnt taste.
