Can someone tell me what the difference is between these? I am interested in getting a tank to try out, although I mostly drip right now. I have a couple of cartomizers as well, but I find that they don't really taste the way I want them to or maybe I am doing them wrong. Either way, I like the look of some of the tanks and would like to try my all day vape in that.

I just ordered a kGo, and I don't need a huge tank, just one that is attractive looking. Do tanks work with any batteries? What kind of tank should I get? Thanks!

Most tanks take a cartomizer inside them, so if you don't like the taste of poly-filled cartos I would stay away from them. There are a few CE2 style tanks that may give you a flavor close to dripping. GotVapes has probably the largest selection of filler-less cartos and tanks. The Stardust has gotten some pretty good reviews and it looks pretty good on the KGo. If you want something larger, the ViviNova looks intriguing. I have not tried it yet, but I have one on order.

Tanks: a plastic or glass enclosure that can be placed over and around a "punched" cartomizer to provide liquid refill

Cartomizer: a thin tube filled with poly fill around a center tubing and coil which includes an atomizer at one end. Cartomizers can be used as-is for vaping by soaking the poly fill in juice. Additionally, you can punch a hole near the base of the cartomizer using something called a "saddle valve", soak the poly fill, and put the cartomizer inside a tank. When the cartomizer gets low it will automatically suck juice from the tank.

Drip: good for dripping directly on an atomizer or using as a mouthpiece for your tank or cartomizer

Clearomizer: a poly fill free cartomizer which uses wicks inside a clear tube to deliver juice to the atomizer

Clearomizer tank: a poly fill free tank with multiple wicks which soaks up liquid for the atomizer

Cartridge: a system with an atomizer cone and a cartridge full of liquid which is attached to the atomizer for tank-like vaping.

I'm not a fan of the Stardust personally. It uses two short wicks which you have to tilt the PV to reach. If you don't appease the Wetting Gods you get burnt plastic taste.

For normal clearotanks I prefer the Vision Stone 3 Mod from Gotvapes. Two long wicks, easy to fill, great taste.

You could also look at a cartridge system like the Ego-T or Ego-C (rebuildable) atomizer, then just fill the carts and impale them on the atty: http://www.litecigusa.net/Joye_EGO_T_EGO_C_Blank_Type_A_Tank_Cartridges_p/egotblank.htm

I'm sitting here looking at 9 Stardusts....all filled with different liquids. They look great on the KGO. There are "real" Stardusts, and clones. I believe Got Vapes and Discount Vapor both have the real ones....not sure who else. Discount Vapor also has the long wick version, which eliminates the short wicks issue mentioned above. I have both types...and have no problems with either. The short wick I just lay down when not using it, and have never had a dry hit from a Stardust.

I have a great little tank called a mini-sub from Mom and Pop. It has a screw on the side for easy filling, and also does a great job of equalizing pressure in the tank to keep the carto filled with juice. The only think I don't like....I hate the taste of filler in the carto. I can't believe no one has come out with a clearomizer style carto for tanks.

I just got a Vivi Nova tank from Got Vapes today, as well as a couple 3ml Phoenix clearomizer tanks. Haven't had time to mess with either of them yet...but they defnitely look very promising.

Have and still do from time to time drip, have used cartos, tankos tanks, and Clearomizers.

I have used a few different clearos, but Volcanos Mega Clearos are hands down the best, cleanest vape i have ever had. I almost exclusively use those now.

If someone who swears by carts hasnt used a clearo, i cant see how anyone would ever rather use a poly filled cart over a ce2 clear... the flavor and hit are unreal.

Just for curiosity sake... If you don't like the flavor of the wicking material, maybe the solution to a longer vaping day between filling/drips wouldn't be to use a tank.

Tanks are great, if you like Cartos, since they all use a carto-style filler of some sort (that I'm aware of). They hold a ton of liquid and you can see how much is in the tank, so you don't really need to worry about the accidental burn anymore. But they may not be what you want, exactly.

I think what you're looking for would be a feeder mod of some sort. There are all sorts of bottom feeders that will replicate the dripping flavor without the mess. I'm not the one to tell you which is good, only that I keep reading a lot about REO's.

Hope this helps,
-X

Edit: And there's also this type of thing that will fit onto your atty/carto. I've never used one though, fyi.

Yes, that has to be what it is. I think I don't like the flavor of the cartomizer filling material. I used cartos for a while, but when I tried dripping, I never went back to cartos. I enjoy dripping but at the same time, I think it would be useful to have something I don't have to mess with every few minutes. I don't vape so much as to actually need a tank, so the Stardust appeals to me in the sense that it is smaller and I like the clear look and being able to see the liquid. I'm still at the stage where I haven't even really found my all day vape, I constantly switch flavors when I drip, but I think I would switch less if I had something that was filled for a while.

I'd also like to use my own drip tips which I don't think I can with a stardust so... besides the Stardust, what else is good? Does anyone have experience using these with a kGo? I heard the draw can be hard on the Stardust using a kGo?? Also.. does anyone have pics of their tank/clearomizer setup? Thanks!

Oh, and I don't really wanna mess with mods or trying to build my own PV. I am spending way too much money already with extra parts and juices, and I still want something that looks semi-normal.

I agree....I don't like the filler taste either. I do use Stardusts on KGO....no problem at all....they are great. I have also been using some CE3 clearomizers which work great. Just got in a couple boxes of the Phoenix from Got Vapes, but haven't tried them yet. Stardusts are definitely easier, more attractive....but cost more. Phoenix/CE3 work well....but you have to fill them with the supplied syringe.

I have a small tank which I really like....just wish someone would make a clearomizer carto for the tanks so I didn't have to taste the filler.
