First off, sorry if this ends up as a duplicate post. I tried to post it once, though it went through and then I came back to check and it wasn't there.

I have an ego battery (1000mah) that I love for its capacity and that I can charge and use it at the same time. I used LR type b tanks for a couple months before I became too frustrated with horrible leaks to use it any longer. I've been using a dual coil cartomizer designed for an ego that I bought from madvapes for the past while. I love that it doesn't leak, but vapor production is decreased and flavor is incredibly muted (I hardly taste anything :() Also, I feel like what I do taste is influenced significantly by the fact that its a carto instead of a tank/atomizer. The filler material always seems to add a little flavor that I don't care for too much.

What can you guys recommend for me to use on this ego battery ? Dual coil cartomizers seem to be all the rage right now, but there are so many to look into its a little discouraging. I've watched yourube reviews and read posts for a few hours now and don't feel like I really have a handle on them, yet.

What are you favorite dual coil cartomizers that I could use on an ego battery and why do you like them ?

Also, whats all this about map tanks that I'm seeing now - are they all they're cracked up to be ?

Thanks in advance for all your help and advice.

MAP tanks were all the rage at Vapefest in Philly. I have one, but have not used it yet. The people that had them there all loved them, and no one talked about leaks.

I personally think tank atty/carts are not quite perfected yet. They either leak or don't wick well and taste burnt. They will improve, no doubt, but this generation seems to be sort of beta and leave much to be desired.

I use SmokeTech dual coil cartos, XL. I like them a lot! I would like it if they had the air-flow of a Boge single coil, but the extra filler might make that tough after a while. Realize that all cartos are considered disposable. I do clean mine, and get several cycles out of them, but they don't, in general, last as long as an atty. And are not meant to. It could be yours needs a thorough cleaning. I did soak mine in alcohol for a day or so, and then flush with lots of water and spin dry, but I now think the alcohol is killing some. Going to try the repeating boiling method this weekend.

I most often use Boge 2.0 ohm cartos, single coil. I find they are about the right balance of heat and flavor for me, and Boges generally have no taste of their own.

You might try some CE2 cartos. I prefer the metal-tube ones. The clearos tend to fall apart after a while in my experience. They don't take well to pockets. But my 3.2 ohm ones, when they work well, are amazing even on an original 510 batt. Excellent flavor, and a MAP tank or other tank-carto is going to have the same coil assembly. They do not take well to chain vaping though. More of a take a hit, put it down for a minute, take another hit kind of thing. They all often need to be tilted to get juice to the coil, unlike a regular style carto.
