Tanks vs Dripping

I've been vaping for a couple of years now... been through all types of hardware with the latest being a Vapage Vmod.
I'm looking for something new and thinking about a silver bullet.

The reason I like the tank is because I don't have to drip.. and it seems maybe the liquid lasts longer.
But sometimes, the carto gets flooded and I have to blowout excess liquid which is a waste.

Dripping can be inconvenient too.. like while driving.

I looked at some youtube reviews on the silver bullet and these guys are dripping.. The amount of vapor looks better than I have ever been able to get with my experience using 510's or 808's in the past.

So... do all the big vapor people drip or tank? Also, since I am looking at the Silver Bullet, will I be happy dripping or should I get a tank for it? I need consistancy!

IMHO, you need the gear for both Dripping atty for taste testing juices (or using it as your main juice system), and some sort of bigger juice system for the inevitable times when dripping is not practical or undesirable. Whether this be a cartomizer, tank, clearmomizer or what, I think you need both.

Same as me.. When i'm off to work, i'm using a tank. At home i still drip. Flavor wise i like atty's to be honest. Carto somehow not tasting the juice well but i'm ok with it. I have a bottom feeder " the surge tank" and using an atty but it's big when public vaping with it people will start to stare at you..

After trying a bunch of goofy products, I've settled on dripping at home and tanks when I go out. Even though tanks use cartomizers, the taste seems much "cleaner" to me in a tank then just a carto alone.

In my opinion, this also happens to be one of the most economical vape since cartos in tanks last a loooong time and attys can last for months if taken care of.

As far as the silver bullet goes, all PV's are basically power supplies with different features so it shouldn't really matter.

For myself i agree that keeping something for quick drip to chrck out a new juice aint a bad ideal.Think i've tried most stuff after close to 3 years vaping.Dripping to me is a pain and not worth it other then checking out new flavor.Once i got tanks to work in the way there suppose to i am vary happy and use nothing .....Bellas are my faves so easy to use followed by lavatank,Also dave dct i put my own hole in them for easy refill like the m1a1 witch i also have and use.I use xl dualcoil and boge standard cartos.

For me dripping is not just about checking out new flavors, I love the taste from dripping.
With most PV's, Silver Bullet included, you can use almost anything you want on them, so use a tank when you want and feel free to switch to a dripping atty when you feel like it.

Also there is no secret to getting huge clouds of vapor. When out & about yesterday I had a silly little SD keyring hanging from my neck. All it takes is the proper carto and the right juice and I get all the cloud of vapor that I want.

i was a dripper for quite some time , bought the vmod xl because it would be more practical , although I did like the device and it worked well but for me it seemed to be more hassle , whipping out a small bottle and dripping a few drops was just as quick and easier . then i moved on to the 306dca from goodsense vapor , which is amazing and worked flawlessly. i didnt think my setup would change after that . well I got curious about rebuildable genesis atomizers and got a DID , best move ive made , once you get past the learning curve , which took me about a day , a few feet of wire , and a little bit of foul language , nothing else compares . flavor is outstanding , wicks well, and is really so far ahead of anything else its not even funny. but i will keep a few 306's in my drawer just for quick sampling of flavors

Doesn't the vmod take out the hassel of dripping? I was looking into that one since I really prefer direct dripping, but decided on the reo apv instead of the vmod simply because the whole tilting it to feed seemed awkward.

Well I don't know what my problem is cause drippin' is all I do. Until I get a rebuildable Atty and try it out I'll continue to drip. Yes even when I'm drivin' (albeit carefully). I don't care much for cartos and tanks seem pretty much the same. But I'll just keep on drippin' along with the grace of the Lord above.

I am new to this and I have both setups but I love dripping and now that I got a drip shield I love it even more. I have a few clearo's for the road but I still turn back to the drip. I smoked for years but since I vape for about a month now I will never go back. Good luck to all of you.

I mix it up, have a melon flavour that is just plain weak unless I drip. My dripping is a bit tedious right now though, took the spike off the included ego-c atomizer, just put one or two drops right in the well, screw on a cone with a blank (included) cartridge and get a few great hits. It's not my day to day style (prefer clearos for the lack of hassle) but I'm getting into mixing flavours and I'd prefer to make a horrid blend with a couple drops rather than a full tank. I can unscrew it all and pop on a clearo/carto when I want something that will last.

I'll look into a proper drip set-up later maybe, but I'm okay with the macguyver'd solution for now. Shipping costs on a couple $ of hardware means I have to wait till my next round of purchases.

I'm using 808s which rules out the Boge. I have ordered a tank but not tried one yet. But last night I got a mouthful of juice on a clearo, spit it out right away but it scared me! It was 1/4 of the capacity of the clearo in one drag! Fortunately it was half 0% so it was probably about 11% instead of my usual 24.

So....does that happen with tanks too? I'd think the carto would minimize the quantity you could get though?

You said once you got tanks to work the way they're supposed to: what did you do? Do you need tissues to wipe off the battery and the bottom all the time like on clearos?

I have found my cartomizers gurgle and give out at least a drop of juice if I overfill a carto, do I have to get some kind of expensive carto to prevent that?

It isn't always that easy to get your carto to slide down a little. I can't count the number of times my cartos have required way more force than that to slide... and how many times that resulted in them sliding too far and I ended up getting juice all over the place.

I've traded away or sold all of my tanks but one. - Now I'm sort of glad I kept one because my wife's cousin showed me the slap yo mama tool from big daddy vaper a couple of days ago. That thing works slick and I'm convinced it's a must have for carto tank users.

I don't know, maybe I was so afraid of dumping juice so I was extra slow and careful in sliding the carto down. Never (knock on wood) dumped my juice.
