Tanning Tax?

The new tanning tax just went into affect. I have been reading articles all day and listening to people complain about being singled out for a tax designed to benefit their health and make them stop. They are hostile....and you know what? I don't give a damn.

Smokers tried to warn people that the once they (do-gooders and politicians) were done with us, they would go after other habits or "unsafe" enjoyment. Now that the well is running dry on smoke money....it is coming to pass. Fatty food tax around the corner as well....and I think it is hysterical. I know I shouldn't take enjoyment in this....but I just can't help laughing at those people now that the shoes are getting passed to other feet.

Alcohol is the next big target. All those people that didn't want a smoker sitting next to them in the bar...will be crying in their drinks all by themselves.

I certainly hope there are lots of tanning bed enthusiasts amongst the ranks of anti-nicotine groups. That would be sweeeeeeeeeet.

Couldnt agree more. I have preached until I was blue in the face to people that one day it would be there turn to be a second class citizen and be taxed to death over their habits. They laughed it off, the anti smoking groups gave the government an inch and now they will take the mile.

Yep, some people refuse to read the writing on the wall. It will not be long before we start hearing " It's not fair, only the rich can afford to xxxxxx. "

They now have salons that will air brush a tan on (spray on), so people can just start using the air brush technique.I never use tanning salons. The air-brush technique sounds safer.
