Same here, could use Tapin up to mid day today. Had to delete ecf from Tapin and use chrome, but it does look nice. I also like all my forums in one place, Tapin, but if this is the way now, we'll just have to get used to it, life changes. At first I thought I might have been the only one having problems since tapin worked at first, happy I found this thread.

edit to add; Most of us don't like change, like I'm now learning Win8.1, but it is what it is.

A bit more of information.. When tapatalk tries to connect to ECF it either spits "can't connect to the forum" when it can't connect at all, or "scheme 'https' not registered" when trying to send my login credentials.
Hope this helps.
ETA: using the latest tapatalk version on android

I'm having the same issues, Tapatalk updated this morning and now it won't work with ECF....

I cant get on ECF from Tapatalk either, since last night. Tried mobile version but can't figure out how to get all my subscribed threads to come up at once. Looked everywhere on the mobile version. Now I have to go into each forum and scroll through until i see the watching symbol. Tapatalk was a lot easier.

Sure, I can understand that point of view..
Still for people like me, always on the move, TT makes the difference between actively participating and only connecting maybe once a week..
Much as I like ECF, without TT I'd be forced to desert it. I truly hope TT will work again here in the near future
+1 for me on TT. I check a few forums through out the day when I have a few minutes using TT. Having to leave the app and open the browser for one forum isn't ideal. Hope they are able to resolve this issue.

Here are my two cents:

1. Yes, Tapatalk doesn't support a bunch of features of the new forum like formating texts in posts, ignore users properly tag following etc.

2. However, it provides a fast, easy and bandwidth friendly access to this and many other forums. I follow 8 forums right now in Tapatalk without issues.

3. Media sharing is facilitate in Tapatalk. I only have to choose a pic and click insert and it will automatically upload it to imageshare and insert a link. Yes one can argue the forum let's one upload a pic but it's a waste of resources for the forum server and limited to 1 mb. The media gallery doesn't exist (or isn't available for us mere non supporting posters - yes I barely can afford the juice I make and vape)

4. The mobile version is much improved, I agree but doesn't replace Tapatalk. I would rather use Tapatalk on a daily basis and only use the mobile version whenever I needed to make a more elaborate post.

5. No push notifications on mobile version. Tapatalk alerts you whenever there are new posts or PMs. On the mobile version I have to refresh the page. Are ECF servers ready to deal with the increased and unnecessary bandwidth?

6. Accessibility - the mobile version has tiny links and buttons. I lost track of how many times I hit "report" post instead of "like" and how many times I hit "reply" instead of "quote".

7. The mobile version isn't 100% compatible with all mobile browsers. Dolphin (one of the most advanced and popular browsers) will occasionally lock the reply text box in the middle of a lengthy post. Hence why I'm writing this from javelin. Problem is that Javelin doesn't support lastpass plug-in so now I'm going to have spend half of what could go to a ECF subscription to pay for lastpass premium to have password insertion in Javelin.

8. No 'mini' signature on mobile version. I like to sign my posts with at least my name. Now I have to write it each time I reply.

I really like the mobile version for its features but I can't see myself replying through it while I'm on the move during the day. I will honestly try to get used to it but it will take some time.

Sincerely

Tony

please please please bring back tapatalk :p
reloging on each time I want to check a thread is a PITA..... It won't stay logged in on my phone....the only access I have to these forums.

I use chrome on my phone, there's a box to check beside the Log in tab, says (Stay logged in) Before that is a box to check to remember password.
Hope this helps.

I am in the same camp. Though the mobile version is friendlier now, it is still not as easy to access as Tapatalk. I was able to use it just fine until halfway through yesterday. I am having no issues with the other forums I am in using TT. When I try get into ECF I get "Failed to connect to Forum, please check with forum administrator if problem persists." I love ECF. I have been gone for awhile and just came back about a month ago. I really hope they can get Tapatalk to work again.

ETA when i try to put my password in after the first error it says "Scheme "https" not registered"

I'm using a windows 8.1 phone
I've tried multiple browsers, non of which will leave me logged in, even with leave logged in box checked.....apparently it's just not an option for me

Folks. We did NOT turn Tapatalk off. There's a connection issue that Tapatalk is going to have to fix on their end apparently.
Was there any programming updates done today? It worked fine yesterday, then today is kaput, but works fine with all other sites.... This is something ecf specific.
The error I get is "data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1."
If that helps...
