Target resistance

I am doing a build on my subtank mini rda base with 26G kanthal. I would like to know how many wraps will I need to do on a 2mm ID using 26G kanthal to reach a resistance of 0.5ohm.

4/5 wraps for single coil. Are you running this mechanically, are you sure you want that HOT a coil.

or 9/10 for duals, getting kinda cool here but Ok for tight draw

Well if I were doing this and ONLY had 26awg I would be doing about coils at about 1ohm to 1.4ohm if single coil and about 1.2-.3ohm with duals or twisted wire.

So single in one and from 1-4 coils in the other. That's a pretty wide range of possible coils to build. Have fun experimenting.

For 26awg @ .5ohm and dual coil on 2mm you will need 2 coils wrapped to 9/10 wraps (1ohm each).

Yes, resistance is halved when you run dual.. So 2 coils wrapped to 1 OHM results in a dual coil build at .5ohm. Also considering your ATTY, you might want to err to the 9 wrap side rather than the 10 wraps.. You are going to loose some coil to legs.
