Actually mine returning turned out to be a mixed blessing. Now the hubby complains that I do not use enough salt when cooking and when I taste things they seem too salty. ;)

Just tell him "That's why they invented salt shakers!!" You can put more on but you can't take it out. My sense of taste varies thru the day. At times, it's like a rainbow of flavors exploding in my mouth when I eat or drink something and then other times it's "bleh".

Didn't realize how salty processed foods were until I started vaping. And to think I used to add salt to 'bout everything...

I think my 40 plus years of smoking may have permanently fried my taste buds. I've been cigarette free for over a month, and I honestly can't tell the difference between now and before. Everything still tastes and smells the same to me. My step-son came over to visit recently. He's been super supportive and enthusiastic about my vaping, which is so great. He asked me, " Well, does everything taste a lot better now?" I had to say, everything tastes good, but it did before, too.

I'm really not complaining. Everything is great. I feel great. But I just haven't noticed any difference so far.

That's cool DenimFreak:) ...I think:?: lol

Yes I had and still have very sensitive taste buds. Smoking might have effected them slightly. Didn't use much seasonings on food before and now everything is still too sweet, too salty or too spicy. I vape unflavored nic base frequently throught the day and can only vape some flavors periodically, and then they would probably on the weak side for most people. However, when having sinus stuffiness, then my taste and sense of smell are a bit off, as everyone is most likely. I have to use 100%VG or if I use PG I end up with sinus and sore tongue, throat issues, among other things.

I'm guessing you meant to say too much pg, but in that case you are mostly right. Pg not only lowers the freezing point of water, it also draws water to itself so that could be part of the issue.

I normally vape at 80/20 vg/pg blend and don't have that problem. Hope going to a higher vg % works for you.

Happy vaping!

SNAP ! Exactly the same here and smoked for the same amount of time.
The only thing that's different now is that I can smell cigarette smoke from half a mile away.
And it STINKS.
Like you however I am not bothered...just happy to be smoke free  :rickroll:
