hnyb0210, that is normal in the first few weeks. Stick with it. By smoking, we have abused our sense of taste and smell for a long time. Drink more water than you ever have, PG/VG can be dehydrating.

Eat a really salty cracker? Swish some lemon/citrus juice in your mouth?

Drink more water (did I mention that?) :p

So glad to know I haven't lost my mind (or my buds!) Guess this is a good time for that Johnson Creek Marcado that doesn't rock my world (too clove-y and spicy for me). It's kind of a scary feeling when things that tasted fantastic a day or two ago suddenly taste pretty much like nothing :?: I'm doing so well on this journey & I don't want anything to screw it up. Fortunately I don't find myself wanting an analog at all; just wanting FLAVOR!! I hope my buds return to me before I get my new order from Rawr ;)

Yes it is unfortunate but your taste bud's are indeed on vacation. It is pretty common early on shouldn't last more then a day or so. You can wake them up by switching to some other really strong flavor. A lot of people use atomic fireball for this. If you see Vapor but taste nothing its a good bet that's what's up.

Yep, tons of vapor, but really not much flavor at all - wow, this is really frustrating!!! I'm vaping like a demon because nothing is satisfying me.

I've had this problem too many times to count. Every time, I try to pinpoint ways to end it. I find mellow tasting foods/drinks help. Milk, cheese, bread. The last time was 3 days ago, and I tripled my water intake and that helped a lot! I also suggest avoiding spicy foods and carbonated drinks. Just my 2 cents.

Thank you - I'm bumping up my water intake big time & totally avoiding carbonation. I swear this all started Saturday night when I ate @ Applebee's!

I've been doing this for awhile and taste bud burnout is frequent with me. That's the reason I generally have 2 - 3 flavors going at once at any given time. Even with that I still get bud burnout from time to time.

"Bud Burnout" - I like that! I've been rotating flavors like every five minutes in hopes of finding something that hits the spot  Even my really creamy vanilla is falling kind of flat. Everything tasted a little burnt, so I filled fresh cartos this morning, etc. Guess I just have to wait for it to pass, unfortunately.

BTW I love your avatar!
