Hi!

I use tobacco flavors every day. I can tell you for sure I'd not have quit smoking with fruity stuff.
However, I also vape all the others now too, sure. :)

Do what you've got to do. Find something you like (nothing in reality tastes like a cigarette) and don't force yourself to like other stuff.... let it happen over time.

I'd call expecting to like fruity straight off is putting unneeded pressure on yourself.

I DIY my flavors and sometime do some mixing of commercial flavors. Love the tutti friutti flavors but find vaping them as soon as my eyes open in the to be less than enticing. You'll never find a true tobacco or 'smoking' flavor. I did developed a blend of tobacco and coffee flavors that I called DIRT and loved it so much that I vaped nothing else for several months. Recently did a revision of the mix and renamed it Sneaker Farts.
Very 'earthy' taste with almost no sweetness. It has become my goto eyeopener vape for the first hour or so every morning. It consider it a 'smokers' flavor. Ask your hubby to try some tobacco/coffee mixes for you.

Halo makes an e-liquid called Turkish Tobacco that's the closest to anything Camel I ever smoked. Nicvape.com has a flavor additive called Turkish Tobacco and I've heard of people blending it with coffee flavor and it reminded them of their old morning routine. It needs a good steeping for the flavors to really come through, and that holds true for many e-liquids, including DIY's.

When I was starting to vape, I was looking for tobacco flavors also. I think most people do. I bought a sample pack of Halo's tobacco flavors. Turkish Tobacco was OK (I later mixed it 50/50 with Wild Cherry from Mt. Bakor Vapor) but I really liked Tribeca. It's fairly expensive. There are some recipes for it here in the DIY section. Try Googling "Tribeca recipe".

No e-juice really tastes like smoking tobacco. I can't vape tobacco flavors anymore. I mostly vape dessert and fruit now. Taste buds change after awhile.

Maybe try unflavored. Just PG, VG, and nicotine. It's mildly sweet from the base liquids, but there's no additional flavor. A lot of people say it reminds them of Marlboro Lights. I don't get that from it, but a lot of other people do. To me it doesn't really taste like anything at all except, like I said, just "mildly sweet." Not at all like a cigarette, but that's okay with me :)

My husband has been making his own juice for 3 months and for some reason I can't adjust to my beautiful vape he got me for Christmas! I'm not into this tooty fruity stuff I want a Camel 99...what can I can I do to step out to the otherside?
Welcome and glad you joined. Might have your husband look for recipes/e-liquids entitled "Desert Ship".

When I first started vaping I tried a lot of tobacco flavors. The only one I really liked was American Tobacco from evape.us. This one sealed the deal & got me off the stinkies for good. Worth a look... :D

When I first started vaping I used an e-liquid from TastyPuff named 'Turkish Bold'. I also mixed in a bit of a Mojito e-liquid or Key Lime concentrated flavor, FWIW. MyFreedomSmokes also has a concentrated flavor named 'Perique Black' that I like. I've heard that that flavor is great mixed with other tobacco flavors, but I haven't done that.

Hi @Donna76 , and welcome to ECF!

You might try Whole Tobacco Alkaloids. Use the search feature for "WTA". Never tried them myself, always hated the taste of a cig. All about the Nic. But a lot of people who just can't seem to break the attraction to real tobacco have had a lot of success using them I guess.

Good luck on your adventure! I hope you find what works best for you. Hope to see you around for a long time. :)

Try a tobacco extract, Sun Cured Turkish from Naturally-Extracted-Tobacco. Vape it on a mouth to lung tank at low power, say 8 to 10w at higher Nic 18-24mg, higher if you need) or if you vape direct to lung at higher power use lower Nic. It taste like tobacco but better than cigarettes, no tar or smoke. After that gets you off cigs you can then try other non tobacco juices. :)
