I have quit smoking before, the last time and the longest was for two years. I started back up about a year ago due to stress and quite honestly I love smoking. I just hate the smell, cost and health risks. When I had that first cigarette after two years it tasted WONDERFUL, like an old friend.

I've only been vaping just over a week and I still do occasionally have an analog when I'm out of the house (I just bought the usb pass thru kit so I had no portable way to vape) and they taste nasty to me already. I even dislike the Kamel cartos I bought, they taste like the analogs.

It seems odd that in this short amount of time I would hate the taste of an analog when two years of non smoking never did that to me. Has anyone else had this experience?

I'd also like some viewpoints on vaping flavors, I have been using pineapple cartos, 24 mg and refilled with 18 mg juices. I honestly only notice a touch of taste of pineapple when I vape, mostly I get throat hit and a peppery feeling in my mouth from the nicotine. It's great that it does the trick and keeps me from craving analogs and has even turned my taste buds against them but I'd honestly love it even more if I tasted more pineapple. Does this change in time as I adjust or is this just what you get with vaping?

It was exactly the same for me! When I started vaping, I was going to finish off a carton by only smoking 3-4 a day until it was gone, then quit altogether. After 2 weeks I realized I was forcing myself to smoke, which is silly. I got rid of 2 1/2 packs and just stuck to vaping.

As far as flavor goes, I have found that flavor is strongest in the lower nic cartos. As nic level goes up and throat hit is increased, the flavor decreases. I vape 18s during the day, but at night when I just want flavor, it is the low nic for me.

I'm kinda similar, but with the Kant carto. The first 2 vape sessions, I was like "OMG! this tastes like a freshly opened pack of cigarette! Yumm!" Then the next day, I tried to vape it again, and I was like "bleh! WTF is this gross taste". But I kept the carto bc there's going to be days when I crave the tobacco flavor and taste. =)

I wonder if it is the VG or PG that makes analogs taste so nasty after a while. I've quit for months before and analogs tasted really good when I fell off the wagon and started smoking again.

Now, they taste like they used to when I had the flu or upper respiratory infection.
That's why I always switched to menthol when I was sick. Regular tobacco just tasted nasty.
