I feel like I got tossed in the deep end of the swimming pool, LoL.

I went from smoking Newport 100's to the Blu ecig.'s. (and still smoking a few Newports a day) I liked the taste of the Menthol & Vannila, but was changing cartriges (don't know what they're called) every 15- 20 minutes. Just got an Ego starter kit, and the juice I got tasted good in tha store. On the way home after about 15 minutes it got too sweet & strong tasting......like choking me ? Now even going back to the Blu it taste's different.

I got a grape flavor in 18 mg (it's a 50-50 mix ?), and it tastes STRONG !

Also got a watermelon in 24mg (It's 100 % VG from different company) and it doesn't taste as strong ?

They now ALL taste like chemicals. Is there a way to tone them down ?

Any ideas, or do I just need to do the work, and find a juice that works for me ?

Thanks, Kenny

Different flavors will have differnt punch factors. The higher the pg the more throat hit and flavor, the higher the vg the bigger the cloud. To tone th down you try steeping them for a week. ( how to steep on YouTube ). You'll get it dialed in.

Thanks man, never even heard of "steeping" ?

Steeping- A lot of vendors use OEA (Organic Ethyl Alcohol) as a mixing agent. Two days Caps and Drippers off will allow most of that to evaporate. After two days, return the Caps and Drippers, then let your e-liquid sit for at least a week, shaking the bottle every day, or whenever you think of it. Keep your e-liquids away from direct sunlight, and extreme temperature changes. Many people use a 'Vaping Station', or a particular place to keep their E-Liquids and Gear. I keep mine on my stereo stand, away from sunlight and at room temperature. Try several different Vendors, not all juices are created equally. And if 50/50 PG/VG is harsh, then try 20/80 PG/VG or even 100% VG. Contact your Vendor, and ask about Lower PG ratios, most will work with you on this. Good Luck, and welcome to Vaping.

Many different juice companies and distributors make their juices differently. For instance, many juice companies based in China, etc., will not steep their juices properly or for long enough. Some US companies will solely mix their nicotine with VG instead of with PG or both, giving their flavors a different taste. It really comes down to testing the many flavors which are at your local B&M's (Brick and Mortar shops) and finding your favorite.

Personally, I started with a 100% VG Cherry Vanilla priced at $6/10ml and slowly started finding that I am a custard fan, slipping through various brands and VG/PG mixes until I found my ideal juice. It might take awhile, but keep in mind that vaping is for YOU, and you can by all means be very picky in choosing flavors.

Steeping may not even bring that bottle of juice to your ideal flavor at all, but with a little effort and a lot of motivation to find that "perfect juice" for you, this problem will take care of itself!

Good luck brother!

It went from tasting TOO STRONG, now I can't taste ANYTHING. It feels like I took a mouth full of vegetable oil ?

Try drinking more water, brushing your teeth/tongue--helps with vaper's tongue. Also, when mine went that way, I vaped some juice that was peppermint because that I could taste.

I had that issue too, plus the "ohgodswhydoesthiskeephappening" burning death taste from everything. Which only I could apparently taste. Once i got my itaste vv battery, it's gotten better... when it tastes burnt I simply mess with the voltage and it goes away :)

Edit: Another thing to try out is to do a few drags without pressing the button. Sometimes we vape a little quicker than the thing can wick, I get that with my protank pretty often.

Yeah, I just went and got a bottle of Extreme Menthol, for that same reason....I can taste it. Don't care for it too much....but I can at least taste it.
