Tastes like soap *BLegh*

A couple of years ago I ordered two bottles of "NOW Solutions Glycerine". There isn't a USP label on it but I gave it a try and it was great for the time that I used it. As per the description, "100% Pure Vegetable Glycerine has a long shelf life and does not easily oxidize. It is an all-natural product derived from Non-GMO palm oil or vegetable oil."

I eventually ran out and didn't make another order until about a month ago. So it shows up and it looks great.. so I whip up four 30ml bottles for the two week vacation I was departing on the next day.

So, there we are in northern ontario getting ready to do some fishing. The closet city is about 80 miles away. Time to squeeze a little irish-cream and coffee flavor into a clearo.

One puff is all that I needed......... BLEGH ! 8-o 8-o It's as if someone dissolved a bar of soap into the glycerine. A truly nasty flavor

This really stunk because I only have 4 or 5 mls of juice worth vaping and civilization was miles away. The rest of it was garbage. Tried each one. Unfortunately I couldn't get away for another 2 days so I vaped on this garbage lightly until I made it into the city and hit about half a dozen pharmacies until i found one that had glycerine.

I'll bet they miss labeled the bottles. I know of several companies that make Glycerin Soap, it's used for people that have skin allergies and it is usually dye free(clear), and perfume free (no scent). You might have gotten ahold of some of this instead of pure Glycerin? I feel for you, that must have been NASTY!!

That's kind of the weird part about it... it doesn't have any soapy odor by itself. I've stuck my nose in both bottles and they seem fine. Yet the vapor it produces is a disgustingly foul soapy taste.

Maybe these two bottles can be used for some other purpose.. hair moisturizer, sexual lubricant?

Yikes! I can only imagine how that first rip tasted like ahhhh.

Did you vape some by itself just to confirm the taste is from the VG? You may have to dilute with about 20% distilled water to use it in a clearo.

Yep. When I got back from vacation I vaped it by itself and it was just as rancid as before. The flavoring I put in provided no help. I feel like hurling when I think of that taste.
