So, i had a couple juices sitting around that were a bit low in the bottle, and although both are pretty good on their own, I decided to mix them together so I only needed to carry one bottle with me... and all I can say is wow what a difference.

First, the two flavors: One is a RY4 Double mixed up by itself, and the other is a mix of apple, kiwi, and lychee.
I mixed about 1/3'd the fruit mix, and 2/3rd the RY4 mix and the taste has a very complex set of notes to it. I can seriously not stop vaping this.

So... onto the mix All TFA flavorings.
I'm calling this one FruitY4
6% RY4 Double
2% Apple
1.5% Lychee
1% Kiwi

So, what great mistakes have you guys made?

Lucky for you, you knew the contents, so you can reproduce it.

I always have lots of tanks going with different flavors, but several of the tanks look identical. My mistakes come from 'topping up' with the wrong flavor or mix. Sometimes it's too gross to vape, usually it's vapeable but not very good, but it's rarely tasty. I can think of just one: wanting to add more peppermint to a doublemint gum recipe, I added watermelon instead. It was interesting enough that I did it again a time or two, using 1% FA Spearmint, 1% FA Peppermint, 1% FA Watermelon.

Short version - Some weeks ago I had failed miserably in two attempts. One was a white choc mocha, the other some tobacco that escapes me now. After about 2 weeks of adding, thinning, and more adding, I declared them both to be garbage.

On my way to the sink to dump them, I realized that I was about to pour nearly 20 mL down the drain, and I thought of a "freeloader" buddy of mine. I figured that if I gave these to him, I could save some of my better stuff for me. So, I poured them together. The next morning, feeling a little guilty, I tested this new mix...

Darn!! it was good!

I had long ago lost track of the exact ingredients as well as any close to any amounts... So, a good recipe no longer available - to the inventor...

Lesson learned - go slow and keep notes.

wow that is a hard lesson learned Rowdy... im curious, did your freeloader friend end up with a 20ml bottle of never to be mixed again mystery juice? Or did you keep that to vape your sorrows away for not taking notes on it?

I wound up keeping that concoction for myself. However, my friend has not done without. He gets the subsequent discards. I only charge him a dollar or two for the 10 - 15 mL bottles (crappy results)- so he thinks he is getting a special deal. ((LOL))

By the way, Lieutenant, -- Thanks for serving!!

Well, let me tell you what I did. Last weekend I mixed up several 15 ml bottles of some of my favorite mixes. Among them was Byrong70's Lemon Cookie Delight and we2rcool's Dulce Fuego. I mixed them all in identical glass bottles and gave them a 4 hr 150 degree crock pot steep. The details of how I managed to screw up don't matter but somehow I ended up combining 15 ml of Lemon Cookie and 15 ml of Dulce Fuego in 1 30 ml bottle. Haven't vaped any of it yet but got a feeling it ain't gonna be good lol. But I'm gonna try it this weekend and I'll report back on how it turned out. If it's bad I've got a couple of freeloader friends/relatives also lol,

Common the story of how you screwed up is just as important as the results! My discoveries come from dripping. Having a little more of a flavor left in than I think and adding a new one and a couple puffs later getting something 'odd'. My best was a tropical suicide mix I do and a chocolate mint I tweaked from someone on here.

Tropical suicide:
5% tfa pineapple
2% tfa ripe banana
3% tfa orange cream
4% tfa circus cotton candy

choc mint:
7% Bavarian Cream tfa
4% Creme De Menthe tfa
3.5% Marshmallow tfa
3.5% Double Chocolate tfa
2% Koolada tfa

Together they were surprisingly good. About 1/4-1/3 choco mint, rest tropical suicide. I don't know exactly how much because I make both bottles, then mix the 2 by eye but the math can be done if someone wanted too.
