It has been done and as folks said reduces the flavour somewhat. Because the flavour of the doubler is the flavour of the original mix. IOW if you had 30ml of 36mg of liquid X, this liquid can be reduced to 18mg by using 30ml of doubler.
  • Effectively "doubling" the amount of liquid on hand
  • reducing the overall mg without any loss of flavour
The intent of TV's doublers was two fold:

  • you had liquid X and had dbler X;
    • you wanted to increase vapor production of vapor X by adding VG. The result:
      • loss of flavour; and
      • weaker nic content
      • In order to bring your flavour back to original. Use the doubler to bring the flavour as it was before by:
        • adding a proportionate amount of dbler to VG
    • now that the flavour has been balanced, you will need to deal with the nic content, which has been diluted extensively
      • when calculating the amount of nic required you have to take intio account that the base liquid has grown by:
        • the total amount of original liquid; plus
        • the total amount of VG and extra flavouring used.
      • That is the total amount of liquid to treat with high nic liquid to bring the strength back.
      • In order to get the flavour close to original let say you added 1ml of nic liquid, you would add a total of 1ml doubler as well.
  • For precision it is highly recommended to use one of the many DIYcalculators available. Dan's calculator is excellent for doing this, but may prove to be a little cumbersome to some if they are not used to its navigation.
