I've recently started experimenting with TC mode but I'm wondering if I have problems with my setup. When in TC mode, it tastes kind of burnt at 350°F and from what I've seen, that's a pretty low temperature for TC mode. They aren't horrible dry hits (or maybe I'm just not letting it get to that point), but it just tastes a little off.

My coil is about 1.10 ohms SS316L and I have the resistance "locked" in TC mode. I'm using an istick Pico Mega and from what I've seen, I can't adjust the wattage for TC mode so it initially fires at the full 80 watts. I'm wondering if my resistance is too high and it's getting way too hot when it initially fires at 80 watts. I built the coil at 1.10 ohms because that's what I've used in power mode at about 14 watts. If this is the problem, then I can't change the wattage but I could change the resistance if that would help. I was hoping someone with a little more experience could give me some feedback and let me know if I'm thinking right or if it might be something else.

Awesome, thanks.. I was hoping adjusting the wattage was an option but it didn't look like it was, but four clicks did the trick. Now I just need to figure out a good setting to use, but definitely something under 80 watts lol... thanks again

1.1Ω..I would start at 14-17W and work up if needed. I like 420f-ish ,YMMV

I tend to set my TC watts 5 to 10 watts over what I vape the same builds in VW. I use a pico 75.. temp can often be dependant on build. Sometimes it as low as 250 and others as high as 500 or more. I don't completely understand TC yet as I get th e same vape at 250 and 500 using different builds or mod settings.

Oh I also have upgraded off of the eleaf firmware and use Arctic Fox instead.

8 profile. Almost every setting is adjustable. Is offline editable. Preheat by watts. Percent and multiple power curves. TCR and TFR regulation Preheat available when in TC. Even the TC regulation itself can be modified.

Basically it turns your Pico into a DNA style mod.

The Eleaf software is good and probably better if you are a complete newbie. The AF ware us just much more adjustable.
Only thing you lose is Bypass mode. And they won't add it...
