how's it going everyone! I'm new to the TC mods and I have a few questions.

Before getting the IPV3 Li I used the kanger mini and rather enjoyed it. I used the kanger tank and it paired well.

But now I have the ipv3 with the Herakles sense tank. My question is, in joules mode, what's a good range to stay between? Same for degrees.

I noticed when I'm in power mode at 40 watts it runs through my juice. But I bought it for the TC so I want to utilize it haha!

Thanks

(Sorry for posting this in another section, I couldn't find the correct place to post it)

The Herakles is going to run through juice. That's just the nature of high end subohm tanks. Most people will run through the entire tank in a couple of hours, and refill the tank several times a day if they chain vape.

As for a good temp and joules setting, I can't be precise since I don't own the Herakles specifically. However, I do use the Starre which uses a very similar coil design. I usually run it between 35 and 40 joules and around 525f. I would suggest starting a bit lower in both temp and joules and work your way up until you either start getting a slight burnt taste or the TC starts cutting the power. If the TC starts cutting the power but the taste is still fine the back the joules down but continue increasing the temperature. If you start getting a burnt taste then back the temperature down.

It's a balancing act. Ultimately you want to find the highest temp that still produces great flavor and the highest joules that doesn't cut the power entirely or give any warnings.

Thanks for the reply! I've been at 475f and st 30-35J and it seems to be OK. But I can keep going up and testing the waters.

As for the tank, why does the higher end tanks burn through so much juice? I've used kangers and they seemed to hold juice a lot long, yet the flavor wasn't as good as the Herakles.

I vape all day, well off and on. But enough and I'm guessing I would be filling this tank up 2x a day, maybe 3 some days.
