You want a device that can output higher watts before you start dripping though. Two ways of going about it are:
Getting a mechanical mod and building the coils to have super low resistance (sub ohming)
Getting a regulated mod that can output at least 16 watts (I find that 20-30 watts are only good when you're trying to cloud chase, 16 watts is the sweet spot for flavor chasing), and building the coils to have a resistance within what that regulated mod can tolerate (My Sigelei 30w needs something with at least 0.8 ohms, I stick with 1.1)
Usually both kinds of these mods require you to get higher capacity batteries and a separate charger as well. Make sure you know ohm's law and how many amps you'll be pushing, the amp limits of a battery, how low the voltage can drop before you need to change the battery, etc. - read and research on this. You can never be too careful with these kinds of batteries.
As for drippers:
The IGO-W is a good starter, but if I could go back and choose my first dripper I might go with a Magma (it has a well to hold even more juice). Also I could see if you could get some kind of top cap with controllable airflow. (The IGO-W comes with tiny, tiny airholes and you need airflow. You can see if it's possible to find an actual vape shop - not the tobacco shops that also have a few vape pens but a dedicated vapor store - and have them drill the airholes out.) Dedicated vape shops are also great to find out more information about dripping and getting flavor.
I would use either cotton or Rayon (actually, just go straight for some 100% rayon). I use a bit screwdriver to wrap around. Personally I don't do microcoils, I find that while they give excellent vapor production the flavor doesn't come through as much. Standard coils work best for me. I also like to tuck one end of the wicking material under the coil and the other through the posts before dripping, I find that it boosts the flavor to have a little padding under the coils/in front of the airholes, but that's just me. I also find that dual coils output better flavor about 90% of the time.
There are plenty of youtube videos out there on coil builds. Sometimes people may tell you to get an ohms checker for your attys but I just use the detector on my regulated mods.

R; you will always be reading up on how to do builds, what kinds of batteries to use, and you will experiment quite a bit before you find what you like. But once you do, the flavor just beats the heck out of a tank or clearomizer. I haven't tried an RTA (rebuildable tank atomizer) like a Kayfun yet, but I hear those are great too.
