Hi all,
Newbie here.
I have been vaping for just over a month (after having been a smoker for around 40 years).
I have discovered that I can vape in my office, or, in public (even did it in a movie theater) - by holding in the vapor and not exhaling for a few secs, so that no vapor comes out. Or, very little. Actually hold for a few secs and then draw in a breath of air on top, then exhale. This works very well and I'm just wondering if anyone else has tried it.
I have been doing this in restaurants, stores, my office, and yes even in a movie theater.

I do understand the need to respect other peoples' wishes/airspace, which is precisely why I keep it stealth instead of blowing big clouds. At work I have a private office so it's pretty easy. Unless someone actually sees me hit the thing, there is not really any evidence that I'm doing anything - I use fruit vape juices so if anyone did accidentally get a whiff of it, they wouldn't necessarily know what it was. When I do it in other public places, I try to make sure no one sees me hit the thing.
I do hate having to hide it but love that I can get my fix without having to go outside.

In public it really doesn't even phase me to vape in public. Not going to lie, when I first started vaping, I was a little nervous because I was afraid someone was going to think I was doing drugs or something (LOL!) but in the past year ecigs have gotten so popular that most everyone I talk to about it knows what an ecig/mod/pv is! It's great!

At work, meh...I have done it in the past..but I do is very rarely. At work I vape like I would if I still smoke cigarettes..I would take a 5 min break or wait until lunch.

I'm also one of the people who only vape where smoking is allowed (with the exception of local vapor stores or places where they specifically allow it). I just feel it is better not to unnecessarily upset people. Until a "Vapors Bill of Rights" is truly established, I want to make sure that I stick with educating rather than alarming people.

Tyost, I do stealth vaping as well. I always have a small Halo in my pocket for that. I wouldn't pull out my SVD in a restaurant or theater or anything out of respect for nonsmokers and others who have no clue what vaping even is. I vape away outdoors in public though and still get strange looks from people who think I'm smoking pot. As a former 2-pack a day smoker I never hesitate to explain about e-cigs to anyone who asks me. Cheers.

I smoked for 30+ years and never had an issue of where I could smoke or not ... now that I have quit smoking and I do vape in my home ... I publicly vape pretty much the same as I smoked.

I don't have the urge to vape in libraries, movies, grocery stores, banks, malls, restaurants or anywhere else people might not want to smell vapor :2cool:
