Tekk mod safety

Hope this is the right place for this. Has anyone heard of Tekkeon mods exploding? My main PV is a REO but i have been using my Tekk mod with a tank and would like to know how "safe" it is.

Does it have vent holes, electronic switch, a shut off feature and are you stacking batteries? If it has safety features and you use protected batteries and use your mod safely, it should be as safe as anything else we use.

The tekk is just a tekkeon with a 510 connector jumped in. Here is the safety info for the tekkeon. #3 in the list

Thanks six. I feel better about my plans to use it. It has never gotten warm in the battery compartments. I just need something that will last a good long time on the trip.

Hi bjannr, I have had my eye on tekk mods for a while now. I want to make something similar eventually, but I would be interested to know where you got yours, if you don't mind me asking?
