besides the tekk, is there another dual 18650 5.0v?

I'm just hooked on 5.0v with 1.5 ohm dual coils. That isn't going to change any time soon. My 18650s are making their way to my refrigerator for long term storage and have been almost completely supplanted by 5.0v ni-mh batts.

There are tons of 5.0v box mods out there. Some can handle 3.3 + amps and some can't. None I have found use a pair of 18650s and the one design I found that uses the 18650 at all uses a single batt and a buck boost.

I've been looking at the tekk mod. That's something I could probably find time to do myself. But, it has a couple of drawbacks that bug me a little. 1) The top is probably going to get cracked. That appears to be just a fact of life with the tekk. 2) Once it's built, the batteries are not user replaceable.

So, now I'm on the hunt for a dual 18650 5.0v mod that can handle the amps, isn't likely to crack from minor abuse, and will allow me to use my own batts and replace them whenever I want relatively easily. I really want to run a pair of 18650s to be able to vape at 5.0v while pushing 3.33 amps for long periods of time between charges. I don't really care what it might look like. I just want it to work and be unlikely to break the first time I lean against something while it's in my pocket.

Does this exist?

I went from a Tekk to a Darwin. I wanted a plug and play model without having to daily charge, change, and rotate batteries. I wanted great battery life. I love the Tekk but it's plastic. Problem solved with Darwin. And the Darwin has a great throat hit and watts are adjustable. If the Tekk body were not plastic, it would be great. But thank goodness for Darwin. It does fit the bill.

I've decided to get a BigDaddy from kens' box Mods even if I have to replace the regulator. And I'm going to get a cropduster box mod from cropduster901 (nice price), but I'll probably have to replace the switch in the cropduster since he doesn't know what the amp rating is on the switches he uses. I've also located an ABS project box that will hold the guts from a tekkeon... and I have a couple of catalogs coming since sales at the electronics places I talked to couldn't figure out if there was an aluminum project box the same dimensions. If there's an aluminum box that size, I might even start building aluminum tekks for friends, etc. It might even come in handy to use it as a charger for my phone once and a while.

Thanks for the advice from everyone! I appreciate it.
