Well, Macsac, a pineapple is a tropical fruit, originally native to Paraguay and Brazil, but now widely cultivated. The rind has a hard, barkey texture with short spines arranged in a rough grid pattern. The meat of the fruit has a similar texture to citrus fruits, and is both sweet, and highly acidic.

Oh, and it makes a decent low (VERY low) alcohol beer.

Tangy taste maybe a bit too citric acid for me for long use but good now and then.
