I just got me first REO 2 days ago, I was really reluctant and scared until I opened the box. Get the rm2, you won't be sorry. Stop buying wick and get some sterile rolled cotton and of coarse some kanthal, and done. In two days the only thoughts of other mods was why did I waste the money on them. If you want a con, the only thing I've come up with is why isn't it a hybrid. Does anyone have a reason to take their rm2 off their REO? Is there anything better? Up until this point I scoured ECF all day trying to find the best setup. Now I'm just on here to bs with the the amazingly helpful and welcoming REO community. I'm definitely happy I made the choice to get one, I'm sure you would be too.
Just sayin'

Alright... then scratch the other 2 mods i was thinking of getting...
I guess ill be getting a reo as my next mod.

Hopfully when they varify me as a member ill go to the classies and pick o e up cheaperish off there

I like the squeeze bottle idea.....

The problem with buying one off the classies is that you can seldom find one. If you are lucky and see one the first hour it is posted, you will probably pay almost as much as if you bought a blem one. They hold their value better than any other mod out there. There are some wood ones that have been made. They do not even last an hour on the classies. The longest that I have ever seen a REO last on the classies is one day. They go very fast.

Edit: Thought of a con.... The closest I can come to a con.... You SHOULD only use AW IMR batteries. The mod was designed around the button top battery (and specifically this brand) and works best with them. It WILL work with flat tops, just not as well. With the use of the flat top batteries and sub ohm vaping, you can get a little oxidation on the fire button and have to frequently clean off the oxidation. However, that will take you about 3 minutes and off you go again.

The only serious con of a REO Grand that I can think of is the need for maintenance of the positive tip of the switch. This needs to be cleaned, sometimes filed and noaloxed every couple weeks (if sub ohm coils are used) or months (for "normal" usage).

Then there is the 510 connector seal that doesn't take much abuse if you tighten down the wrong atties or cartos too far.

I would also like to see a user changeable super swift 10A fuse somewhere in the Grand, instead of the hot spring.

The Pros are many, just read 5 random threads on here =) Get one and see for yourself.

You've got nuthin' to lose buying a REO Grand and RM2 first, except the task of selling previously purchased gear. Seriously!

Along with a REO comes this big group of helpful and experienced "enablers" including active participation by the designer/builder. They help you get the maximum out of your REO(s) and make the experience awesome.

We look forward to congratulating you on your first REO!

Just do the math one Reo plus one RM2 equals one happy vaper. The RM2 is super easy to rebuild with a micro coil and cotton. The owner/builder of these fine mods is very active in this forum and I'd dare to say he wants you to love your Reo even more than you do. But if someone were to ask me what's the best thing about the Reo I'd have to say this forum the wonderful and helpful people. I have yet to see a question go unanswered nor a problem not taken care of.

I must admit that while I currently own a Bogger Box and not a Reo (yet) I have learned more about my Bogger from Reonauts than anybody else.

Some day I'll get a little fun sized Reo for my little mooshi hands. :) Right now, tuition is all that matters.

mooshi, weather you have a reo or not, we are happy to have you in reoville. Now, get through school, become successful and then buy a bunch of reos.:)

Boogers are pretty little boxes. I know this first hand. I am, however, scared to take mine out of the house. It's too pretty to be dropped! I seriously think that I could drop-kick my reo into oncoming traffic and it would still work fine (though I will not be testing this theory!)

What everyone has said. I've been through the same routine, ending up with dripping which p****s you off after a while. My Grandi is my all day carry, as in fill it in the morning, top off the bottle after I come home from work, and put the battery in the charger when I go to bed. Done.

As far as wicks/coils, since you've been using a dripper you're golden. The consensus of many here (including me) is a microcoil with cotton or similar. The coil you change when needed (even before I started with Reos my coils would last a couple of weeks) and the wick more often, depending on juice. I typically change every couple of weeks, but I vape unflavored.

Other than that, you're done.

Side note: I think that one of the reasons why this sub-forum is so pleasurable is because we all gravitate towards the same solution. If you read the threads, every discussion about mods tends to oscillate towards Reo + RM2 + Microcoil + cotton/bamboo or similar + whatever you want to vape. With that over, aesthetics have a chance to surface, and a real community builds up around it. If all you're talking about is technical stuff, you end up talking about technique and nothing else.

It mirrors the real world. I've suddenly got more time on my hands because there's no more fiddling around with this RBA or that Mod with this coil and that wick. I've reached what I perceive as a functional pinnacle of what I want, and don't need to waste time testing stuff. Heck, I don't even play with flavors, so making a batch of juice takes me all of 5-6 minutes now :)

In Reovil you pass through complexity and arrive at simplicity........ and it's a fun place to be :D

You Reonauts are awesome, such a friendly bunch, and so enthusiastic about the product. Don't tell the ProVari kids, but you guys are MUCH cooler.

Eyeing the Reo site almost daily now. Won't be long before I say 'screw it' and jump on the wagon.

Well, Cuando, come on in and take your shoes off, relax and set' a spell.:)

Brilliant. My vaping buddy and I commented on this just the other day (although not as poignantly). We're done chasing the perfect vape...we know what works for us (we both have standardized on the Reo). Now it's all about aesthetics.

Might be time to dive into DIY...

Do it. It's fun, if not at times annoying. As you get better at it, you'll get more creative and when all is said and done, it's pretty damn cheap. Hell, it's cheap enough in my mind that even if your DIY is a total failure, the price of admission is worth the trial.

And I've found my perfect setup. I love dripping and rebuildables. Sounds like a Reo would be perfect for me. Is the RM2 really worth the price, though? Seems pretty steep for a bottom fed RDA.
