i have been using mine for about a week or three and in some ways i love it, and in other ways im not so sure.

it seems like i am either having battery issues or something because on a fresh charge on my ego battery its about 80% of the time awesome but after what would be the first cig or first time vaping it it tends to go downhill. and yes i have tilted it to make sure its wicking and whatnot. im not that new with the whole vaping thing.

so this is exactly what is going on. i am using 70 pg 30 vg and it seems like both the throat hit and vapor production is just not there. the thing is firing (i can hear it) but its just not like new i guess. when i clean it it actually hit harder and vapes more than when its good and wet with juice.

so if anyone has had experiences with this thing let me know how it went with you, what types setups you are using with it, and how you like it.

thanks guys!

I'm with you. I have a love hate with the Stardust. I too use 70/30, mine works well no issues except the draw is really stiff like sucking through a plugged straw. Also each one that I've received has had at least one crack near the base, but so far none have leaked. I think this may be a great product in time, but the current version needs tweaking.

are you using just a ego battery?

i dont have one yet but im wondering if i buy a variable voltage and tweak with that for awhile if it will work good on that.

other than changing battery type i seem to have alot of issues with vaping devices. im looking for consistency and i thought i would have found it with this but so far i was wrong. i ordered a couple more with different res so i will so how that goes.

I have a box mod, non bottom feeder, 3.7 v, and use the stardust with an ego adapter. I thought it was the adapter!! What I do when it happens is take it off, take off the adapter, put it all back together and vape. It is like it looses its vacuum after awhile and needs fresh air. IDK I really like it for the ease of filling, etc. But that part is a pita.

hi Morningcalls. I too have tried the stardust and can say I'm not a huge believer. It does work. Dont get me wrong. I have four of them , I have tried them all. I have two of the low(2.1-2.4?) ohm ones and two of the higher (2.5-2.9?)ohm ones. As i use them they are pretty good from the first fill to about the 1mL mark in either resistance. They do perform ok but their flavor just seems off to me and the performance is ok but not good enough for me to replace a standard Boge carto either.I have used them on my standard eGo type device and also on my vv box, all the way up to 6v they do work and don't fail but they don't rock for me either.
If you are looking for a carto that similarly built , I have tried (and am currently vaping) the large ce2 like GP CE2 XL Humongomizer Set-up for eGo 3.3ml and i can tell you this one is much better for me. Great vapor, great flavor and works well all the way down to 3.3 volts. I normally like it at 4 but this is the standard resistance, so the LR may work just as good on any old eGo. The plastic inner is more like a bic pen and it has a metal sleeve. I have yet to break one and I've been rocking these pretty regularly for the last few months. If you dont like the whistle tip mouth piece an 801 drip tip fits them perfectly.
My next order will have one of the vision 2.5ml cartos just so I can form an opinion on those, to keep my vaping vocabulary up to par. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

I really wanted to like mine, but no dice. No cracking or bad functionality. They made both juices I used in it taste off at first, then bad, then downright nasty. They were pg/vg mixes though I don't know what %. Put both in my ego-t cartridge and the LR atty it came with and they tasted vapable and warm again. Not a fan. They do look nice though. All style, no substance.

I agree. For whatever reason, the flavor does seem muted. They definitely need better/longer wicks. I would like to see dark smoke color instead of clear also. I do love the screw on tips and ease of filling. Really nice to fill right from your bottles and not have to use a needle to fill like on the CE2's.

i have also noticed it started to get a cold hit, with very little vapor. the thing just confuses me. i dont get how something could be so inconsistant.

Just my thinking but I blame it on the "no solder" connections so that sometimes the connection is tight and works well (kinda, about 80% of a ce2, I call it at the best of times) and sometimes it looses some connection and is definitely cooler with less flavor.

Certainly a lot less tuning and bother than a ce2 but not at it's peak potential, yet!

Personally I like them but I think the new bottom coil CE3 produce better flavor and fewer dry hits. I think the Phoenix ce3 produce better flavor but the Stardust does look better and is easier to fill and appears to be better made. The CE3's are much cheaper. I also like the Riva-T which also produces better flavor and is a ce2 type but is enclosed in a metal casing with windows. I haven't taken the Riva-T apart yet so I'm not sure if it has bottom or top coil and wick.

I really can't say much bad about them myself. I do have the tight draw problem on one of my batteries, but on the others it draws just as well as a carto. It seems to have to do with the depth it has to go to make a connection (my variable 'eGo' cheapie passthrough allows for a good draw). I think the flavor/vapor/etc is great, even when going at 3.3v. I have had some cracks show up with no leaks though. They can be PITA to take apart, but they are so easy to use I have wire and wicks coming so I can rebuild them (at least til they start to leak). I did find they do get better after the first tank, and cleaning them in between fill-ups helps keep them working well.

Just my input.

The eGo skirt is a large part of the problem. Instad of using an eGo/510 adaptor, use two shorty extensions, a longer extinsion, or even a goose neck and you will notice a big difference. Air has to get to the connector or they just don't work well. With an eGo type battery one shorty extension should work.
They are also a low voltage/wattage device, and are voltage sensitive. They were made to be used on an eGo afterall. At 5.5-7 watts they work pretty well, but at about 7.5 watts the problems set in. (LR's 3.4-3.7v & SR's 3.7-4.2v)

I may be misunderstanding you completely but i thought they fitted the ego battery without the need for a connector?

They do, but the eGo skirt on the stardust/vision ego seems to be cutting off the air flow on some bats making for a stiff draw. Adding an extension just allows more air to reach the connector.

So you can see the difference:
With the ego/510 adaptor it has a stiff draw, with the extension (rt) it has a good draw,

even with the extension lifting the skirt for more air flow, I find these inconsistent and just too hot for me. The atomizer is right below the mouthpiece and the vapor comes in pretty hot...if you are after more juice capacity, you might try one of these: 510 XXXXL 4.5ml 1.5ohm Dual Coil Cartomizer

even though they say 4.5ml, fergitabout that, but you CAN get 3.5-4ml in it pretty comfortably. They are dual coils and definitely fire up nicer at over 4 volts, but work OK on a Riva or kgo too. The vape is cooler than the stardusts and personally I think the flavor is much much better.
