Not far at all. Perhaps we can meet up some time in the not too distant future and I can give you a run-down of some of the hardware if you're looking to "upgrade". I live in Hespeler, really close to the 401 and HWY 24.

I, like many others, started with a 510 kit, and it really is a good device. You will quickly notice however that you're going to want something with longer battery life, and/or more power. There are a few simple mods you can make to your existing kit that will make it a better experience for you. Shoot me a PM and we can figure out a time and place to go over a few options. I have an eGo, eGo Twist, a bunch of 808's (Unfortunately, gave my Redds kit to a friend for now, but have some bloogs and fresh cartos) and a fairly large selection of juices to give you an idea of what might work for you if/when you're looking to upgrade.

Sounds great. Would be nice to have someone close by for advice and make a new friend as well. I'll send a long a pm with my contact information.

Wow .. I think everything was covered thoroughly. I've gotta say I think EVERYONE wastes money to start; buying something overpriced or something they don't like. I still buy things I end up hating, but even so if you consider the amount you're saving on cigarettes it's not a big deal or at least that's how I try to rationalize it being really cheap - er frugal ( and part Scottish ) too. I have to try to resist the urge to spend $200-500 on fancy new stuff every month and decided to try to spend $100 or less, so it's the same or less than smoking cost me. The more I buy and test, the cheaper things seem to get.

You should try to order some nicotine liquid as soon as possible, because nic-free liquid probably won't do much for you. Most people say to order a variety of flavors in small bottles to see what you like. You need to pick a concentration too .. I was smoking 1/2 to a pack a day of strong cigarettes and started at 24 mg for a few months, now I've been using 16-18 mg for quite a while. How much do smoke and what type of cigarette - ie. how strong ? Keep in mind you can still smoke using an e-cigarette, I've always done that and just cut down more and more.

Someone mentioned the Canadian nicotine sellers list, there's also this : List of Mods and Commercial PVs by Category and Vendor - via PM sticky thread at the top of the Canada forum, which is obviously more a list of expensive mod kits, which you wouldn't be interested in at first, but the sellers all have more basic kits and parts as well and is a good resource.

I started using a 510 kit and the battery life is annoying, but I think right away an ego or bigger would have turned me off the idea pretty quick. If you're using the 510 a lot, most people say the battery life is about an hour as a low number .. someone mentioned the Redds kit from happyvaper, which I personally want .. but since you have the 510 set up, you could get a pcc ( personal charging case for the 510 ) - there is the joyetech one and the innokin aio kit both of which DON'T hold an assembled cigarette, which seems stupid to me. I'm using the aquavapor kit, which does. These will charge a battery numerous times, but always less than they claim and hold spare parts so it's useful for being out all day.

Wooo .. sorry for the long ramble.

I also started about a month ago I bought a v2cigs kit 3 weeks into it after some research I bouth and ego kit for about us$ 40.00 and I love it so today I bought 2 vivi nova tanks to save money in atomizers and an ego twist just to try variable voltage pretty cheap setup. Hope you can achieve your goal once you get set just try small amounts of different juices until you find what hits the spot. Happy vaping!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also if you have a chance hit youtube GRIMMGREEN has great reviews and advice plus there is plenty of vapers there that will help.

Yeah, I also made it sound like I hated the 510. I really didn't, and still use it. I keep my egos in the car, and my 510 w/ boge LR carto (I HATE CARTRIDGES!!!!) in my shirt pocket for the at-work-vape. Its weak, piddly, but to pull out a 1000mah twist w/ phoenix bottom coil (aka. Magic Wand) with no cone and vape it would make non-vapers look at me funny and cause old ladies to think I was using a newfangled crack pipe.

At least the 510 is conspicuous.

Welcome Crazy Canuck! :)

Any choice is a good choice to get you off the cigs. I also must clarify Scottish people are not cheap. LOL Very generous and would give you the shirt off their back, the drapes off the window, and feed you before you leave, but yes we are frrrrugal.

There is a process, first you get set up, then try to find more pieces & juice to find that ultimate happy place.
Everyone here is great for answering any questions you may have as time goes on.
Looking forward to your smokefree life!

When does your kit come in?
