I've been vaping now for quite a few months and aware of most devices. But are there any devices or component parts that i should stay away from. Not including cig-alikes whats the worst piece of vaping equipment you've ever had ?.

And how about e liquid. Have you ever bought any that tasted awful or just didn't work for whatever reason ?.

Juice is very subjective: What I love, you might hate; and, vice-versa. My personal favorite is 1/2 clove and 1/2 orange/pineapple. That leads to another subjective area: What one puts their juice into. A tank (etc.) that someone else LOVES might not last me a day, due to my juice - which is an absolute tank killer. If it's not made out of polypropylene or pyrex, I'm just throwing my money away on it. (Something I've already done way too often in the few weeks I've been vaping!)

Long story short: Check out any info. you get to make sure it "fits you," rather than just going with whatever seems to be the most popular. Also, on juices: If you have any local vapor stores, see if they have tasting rooms. That's a great way of finding out which juices YOU really like versus the ones that only SOUND tasty. (Tastebud ratios and paterns are as unique as fingerprints...)

But did you ever get equipment that just sucked from time you got it. I mean is there stuff out there that just doesn't work ?. For example An ego c is crap right ?.
WRONG! That's kidnapped's point. Correct me if I'm wrong, but most vapors here would agree that an eGo is a must for most starters. I personally think that C4's are a waste when a Kanger T3 is the same price and provides much better results, but that's me. You may have another opinion. I don't like clove, yucky, but kidnapped says it's 1/2 of his favorite mix. Take what you read here for what it is- personal opinions. The only thing I take seriously here is danger warnings, faulty equipment, and good vender reviews.

Generic CE4 clearomizers. I guess they do what they are supposed to do but they suck. So much better for not much more money.

Ive been pretty good with selecting PV's all my devices I love, but I agree with Lowlife here. The absolute worst attachment Ive ever used was a CE4 I tried 4 of them, I love how they look and I wanted to like them but they are just bad IMO.

Anyway, thing burnt out in no time. I made do with my ce5 long wick but the taste wasn't there so. Yeah they suck.

Keep in mind a lot of the answers you are gonna get here from ppl are mostly gonna be personal preference. When I started out I took in a lot of advice/suggestions and mostly found myself on the opposite side when I tried it for myself, (example; I know ppl who love CE4's) hardware you can actually get some good advice but with liquids, I personally cant take anyone's word on it...If it sounds good to me im gonna try it. In fact 2 liquids I use in one of my mixes I was told they were bad "stay away" and I love them. Only advice I take regarding liquid was to keep it American made stay away from china. And then again some ppl love their overseas liquid ...personal preference.

Every device has it's strong and weak points. I started with a eGo-C kit and quite liked it after I got to know its maintenance needs and quirks. There are much better devices out there in general, but I still use mine for new juice when I don't want to put it in a VN because I'm not sure I like it yet. Flavor changes happen in literally 3 puffs. Also great for when I just want to vape 1 ml of a juice and then change to another juice. For regular use I have my carto tanks and VN's. They can also be finicky though and there are some juices I never put in a cart.

Edit: I am referring to the eGo-C atomizer/tank system.

The ego-c was originally marketed as an ego-c battery with a replaceable tank system. The tank system didn't get great reviews at first. It was prone to leaking issues. Now that some time has passed many people have worked out the leaking issues and are happy with their ego-c tank system. I know a guy who just bought one and he seems to be having good luck with it. Most of the time now when I see ego-c mentioned they are just referring to the battery. I can think of two reviews on youtube where the reviewer flat out said the device did not work out of the box. Can't remember what the are now. They are no concern since they have been corrected or discontinued. Some things are certainly better than others. Some things will work better for you than me and vise versa. All and all were lucky to have a hobby that's on it's way up in every way.

It's a fair point to say they work for some people. But consider this. There a few devices out there which work very well indeed. So much so that manufacturers are redeveloping them. Like the ce series of clearo's. They're not perfect but some people like them. Look at the Kanger clearo's. Those bottom coil devices are being redeveloped as we speak and the protanks, even though i can't find them in the uk at the moment, are selling out in the usa so i've heard. So my point is, No one seems to be redeveloping the ego c. Doesn't that say something about popularity !.

So far i haven't got round to a rba yet. I've been looking at an aga t. I like the idea of rebuilding, seems easy enough. I recoil my T3's. To be honest i don't know much about rba's even though i've seen a few vids. What is the deal with those type of devices ?. Are they the kind that you have to swirl around to get them to wick ?. Is there any kind of bottom coil rba or hasn't one been innovated yet ?.

I don't know if anything is wrong, technically, but it's all a learning curve and what works for some, won't work for all. I started with an ego-t, a few ce4's and some generic ce4's - when I found the right juice, I never touched a cigarette again. But, oops - turns out my ego-t was a knockoff, which led to a disaster. So, I now have two spinners and two ego twists, all the real deal. They are more than perfect...for now. When I ordered the spinners, it was a great kit and I got to choose different clearo's - I selected the kanger EVOD and a Kanger T3. Huh. Much better....so I didn't realize that the CE4's weren't as good, until I tried better. I ordered more EVOD's and just received a protank yesterday, which I wanted to try because I read so much about it. I have a feeling I'll like this one even better. But, I agree that the Ego is probably what I'd call "classic" - great for anyone, especially a beginner, easy to use and no steep learning curve - it's just that after a while, some will want more. But I think it will always be popular. I didn't want to start with a spinner or twist because I didn't understand the VV - now I do and I like having that option. :)

Pretty much all egos should be fine. But it's definately worth the extra couple of $'s to get a vv, eg spinner or twist. With a standard batt, you have to buy the right resistance mizers, with vv you can adjust the batt to match the mizer and your taste.

With mizers, stay away from ce4's as earlier stated. For a cheap good beginners mizer, get the iclear16 /30, the vivi or mini, or get the kanger t3 / mt3
