Hi All,

Quick question about this reading I'm getting while trying vape. On the Kanger subox mini I'm trying to take a hit and after like 3-4 seconds on any wattage..... Yes any wattage. I received the "High Temp" reading. I'm using the HERAKLES That goes up to 100w, the guy at the vape shop told me it was comparable but right out the box it has been giving me this issue, especially with the .2 coil.

Has anyone have this happen too them? Any insight would be great....

My assumption is the tank is just not comparable BUT I even tried switch tanks to no avail....

0.2 ohm coil? Sounds like the nickel coil for a temperature control mod

That HERAKLES tank does come With a temp control coil but the Kanger Subox Mini has a temperature control safety mechanism or whatever to short out the hit.

I think it's to prevent the device from overheating. Thing is I think it might be my battery, my first battery worked like a charm, it was a Samsung battery, ever since I bought this battery from a vape shop I went to on a whim, it's been happening, it's just so weird.

I know Kanger doesn't have temp control like the evic... This is just killing me lately because I can't take more than a 3 second hit

you're pushing that battery beyond it's limits

and that's the subox MINI.
that means it's less power than the regular subox

Thank you! But I think it might also be a defect in the battery because I put an 2015 ego one tank on and the same thing happens. Thanks for the confirmation, I'll buy a new battery and report here with results, thanks for clarifying my device,

i have the same problem too man. did you fix yours already?
not really a 'fix' issue - the subox mini only supports down to a minimum resistance of .3 ohms... so a .2 ohm coil on it is a terrible idea... whoever sold it to you and said it was compatible had no idea what they were talking about... that being said, the subox mini is known to have issues with a number of other tanks (other than subtanks) based on the fixed firing pin as well... supposedly a v2 is in the works with a spring loaded firing pin, but have not seen any follow up info on it...

bottom line - check the specs on your device before putting a low ohm coil on it... don't trust the guy at the shop to know what he is talking about, ultimately, it is OUR responsibility to check as well

Sounds like you have the same problem I had with my kbox mini. Theres a 1r2 chip resistor on the pcb that failed on mine, does your mod heat up when it has a battery in it? After waiting for 2 weeks with no reply from KangerTech, I dismantled mine to find that if you put a battery in it, within 2 minutes the resistor was too hot to touch and starting to smell. After doing some chacking on the interweb I found quite a few people have had this problem almost from release day. If you have the heat issue, send it back. Its bloody dangerous!

I have the same problem. So the only way to fix this is to replace the 1R2 chip resistor??

Same bloody problem. Anyone know a part number or where to get a replacement?
Having the same issue.
First unboxed and used the .5 head it worked great.
Tried the RBA head and it read High Temp.
Put the 1.5ohm head on after that, and it worked great.
Today I tried the RBA section again, same thing. High temp.
THEN I PUT ON THE DARN .5 HEAD AND IT'S READING HIGH TEMP

Left it with the "expert" at the shop I bought it at.
Hopefully it's not this chip or board overheating as said earlier in the thread.
