The thing is with the TC40 - don't look at the screen while vaping!

I use mine with everything from STM's to TFV4's to Lemo2's and the same thing could be said for all the tanks - don't look at the screen while vaping.

I run mine anywhere from 380F to 460F. If I'm getting a weak vape - I turn it up. If I'm getting to much vape, I turn it down.

As long as the resistance is locked in with the correct value (all three of the tanks I use are top fill so there's no swapping tanks/coils to futz with the resistance once the correct value is locked in) it will vape and hit "temp protect" on EVERY DRAW. Its just how the TC40 works.

It will always say "temp protect" each and every time it reaches the set point. Since it ALWAYS fires at 40W (as long as you have a >=0.15 ohm coil) it will reach the setpoint fairly quickly. If you look at the screen in a mirror while drawing you might see different values along with 'temp protect' flashing on the screen.

Its just the nature of the beast.

I take ~3sec draws and don't have any problems. Then again, I never look at the screen while vaping.
