I wouldn't worry about it. Mine never gets hot unless charging, and that's to be expected. The charging circuit is working overtime at that point. Same as a cell phone, when it's charging it can get quite hot, especially if you're using it at the same time.
It's only when you see the alarm during normal use without charging that you should start looking into it, which I have yet to encounter except once, and it was a bug. I rebooted and it went away.
That being said, I have mine set to 100*F after the update and I had it set to 40*C before the update.
On a side note, are you able to set your alarm temp
through the evic's menus to above 99*F? I have to set mine using the MVR software, as it won't let me go above 99*F
through the menus. Once I set it in the MVR software and uploaded the config to the evic, it seems to stick though, unless I try to change it again through the menus. Same thing goes for setting the battery below 800mAh through the menus, have to set it to 700 through the MVR software.
