I see alot of People open up the juice feed channels and tend to like it better with the rba head.
Sure You can replace the clone with a legit. Someone prolly not as savy as you put it together
My attitude about tinkering with stuff is someone put it together. With a little patience persistence and determination I can take it apart see what makes it tick make it better and put it back together.

This works well for me in most cases but some times I just end up with spare parts for a different project

I think I'm going to order the chip. I found a video online with a tutorial on how to make a box, so I'll watch that a few times and see how things look inside my VF Clone before deciding for sure, though.

Just be careful I fried my first dna board I touched a switch to the 510 and SNAP! Thats the sound of 60$ gone in a milla second
I should of waited till everything was in the box before I energized it.

I currently have 3 TC mods, the VS rDNA40, the SX Mini M Class, and a VF clone. I also have a IPV 4 in the custody of the USPS on its way to me. TC is not a magic cure all that will make all your problems go away. While it will prevent you from getting a dry hit, it doesn't instantly allow you to vape at 1,000 watts.

I strongly agree that TC is not a magic cure to everything . What TC does is to give us more control so as we can further enjoy our vaping experience. Previously with variable wattage/voltage mods, we can define how much power we are sending to heat the coil. However, the longer we keep the firing button pressed, the hotter the coil gets and eventually, you may get burn liquid/cotton (not taking temp protection into consideration).

With TC, you can now define the temperature limit so the mod will maintain and not go above the temperature defined or 'tries' to...TC is still at its infancy stage so the algorithm used is based on the resistance of the nickel wire and how it is built. The accuracy will vary based mainly on the coil quality/resistance/build. There are other factors which will cause accuracy to vary as seen in Pbusardo's review on SX Mini. Of course, as TC settings is defined by us, setting the temperature limit too high will have a possibility of getting the liquid burnt so as similar to setting the correct wattage/voltage on non-TC mods, we need to set the temperature to where it fits you (or the liquid) the best.

I go with m00shie. Since getting my DNA40 clone flask, I am simply amazed at how consistent my hits are, with absolutely no burns or dry hits. I set my power (I have rebuilt many coils) to what I think that coil needs to deliver the best hit. May be 10 watts, may be 40 watts. Then I set the temperature control to my desired level, usually about 380F, but it depends somewhat on the juice needs. As I watch the real time display updates, I notice that at first the full power is required, then it starts to throttle back as my airflow slows down, or as I hold the fire button down longer. That tells me that the temp control is taking over and throttling power back. The upper temp limit keeps my juice from burning, my wick from burning, and the hits consistent. If the power doesn't throttle down, I know that I can raise the watts if I want to. If it throttles down too much, I know that I am simply setting the power level too high. I don't use watts to control the hit, I use temperature. Then I set the watts to give a small throttle-back on each hit. This method maximizes the efficiency of my mod and gives me the hit I want, every single time.

Please check the battery sled of the Vaporshark. The black is genuine. The clear is a Chinese clone with Chinese chip. Not an Evol chip.

Most reviewers have good things to say about the HCigar HB40. A legit DNA40 chip for under $100 cant be beat

I'm not wild about where the fire button is on the HCigar HB40. I'm so use to side (unless it's my REO or SMPL).

Decided against the VaporShark. I think I'm going to check out the Invader Mini. The ruggedized mods look good after my incident with my istick 30w and the puddle. If it looks good, I'll go with that and do the chip conversion later on my VF clone. I'm just not sure I want to risk trying to install the chip without a backup mod. lol

What I'm failing to understand, is if you can set the temp, why do we still need to set the wattage, the chip should adjust wattage automatically ( bet that's the next revision)

The chips do adjust wattage, but in assuming that you're setting your max wattage.

I would hold off on the Invader Mini, I just returned one, it has a lot of bugs currently...lots of potential, but not ready for prime time yet...

I played with the Invader Mini at the shop and really liked it. Ended up buying it. Yes, it has its quirks, but after 2 weeks of using it, I really like it.
