Trying to set up a new Terminator-C, and I think something's not right, but wanted to check in to see if anyone else who has one may know the answer.

Is it normal for the center post not to be connected to the ceramic cup/cup holder in any way? From most videos I've seen of similar RBAs, the center post/ceramic cup/cup holder remain attached as a single unit, but on mine the center post just sits loosely in the ceramic... if I turn the assembly upside-down, the post just falls out.

Am I missing a piece, like a nut or o-ring or something? The looseness of the whole thing causes the center post to sit at an angle in the base unless I fiddle with it, which is really messing with things. It just seems like there must be something missing here.

I've got an e-mail in to Stormy's support about it, but figured I'd check in with you guys.

Interesting. I'd tighten mine back up if there was a nut there to tighten it with, but that's where I'm stuck at the moment.

If they frequently ship like that, I suppose it's a bit more likely that I have a loose nut rolling around on the floor somewhere. If anyone needs me, I'll be on my hands and knees.

Yeah that's what I was going to say, it probably fell out and you didn't know. It's kind of stupid to ship something loose like that, I bet you're definitely not the only person trying to figure out this issue when they have a missing nut they don't even know about laying somewhere under their computer desk.

Thanks, all. I've ordered an Odysseus nut from CoV just in case it'll fit (it was cheap) and hopefully I'll hear something from Stormy's about what I'll need to do to get this going. I think I need the whole center post/cup assembly, but it's not too clear from their site whether that includes the nut I need.

OH no , nuts on the loose. Just kidding, I hope you find it, maybe it was not there to start with, remember hundreds go out and you are bound to get a missing nut. It happens even with the high priced items, humans are not perfect and some of them are nuts.
COV ships fast so you will be up and running, I have some extra nuts coming my way in the next few weeks cause I loose stuff down drains etc.
