Terminator o-ring down the drain

Literally, I unscrewed a brand new Terminator, held it in my hands under some hot water, and watched the top cap o-ring swirl down the sink drain. Unreal!

Even worse news is that Stormys is sold out of extra o-ring kits and no extras came with the Term. Not looking for any advice, just no one in my house appreciates the frustration of getting a new toy and doing something stupid with it without even getting to use it!

Ah well, I'll figure something out.

Did you check the p-trap under your sink?

I'd take it to the hardware or auto parts store and try some on for size.

I didn't check the p-trap. Self admittedly not even remotely handy with plumbing stuff unless it's a running toilet. I have the Terminator soaking now and found an o ring on a cracked 3ml tank that I held onto for some reason. Glad I did now. I think it may be alright but if not, off to the hardware store.

Yeah, the p-trap is pretty straight forward. I've rescued an AGA nut, and two insulators from there in the past.

He uses pliers to loosen the lock nuts but it's usually not necessary.
