i have the same problem on my AGA T2. i have a poor vapor. i do a drill bit method. wrapped it 4 - 5. and i get 1.5 ohms. in 3.7 volts. 32 ga / 400 ss mesh
my question is should be the coil touching the ss mesh or let it loose?

if using the drill bit method, your wick should slide into coils snuggly. it shouldnt just drop right in, nor should you have to force it. with this method your wick needs to be nice and round, so even contact with the coils must be obtained. personally i just wrap the wick in the device, no drill bit at all. with just hand wrapping the wick, without the drill bit, your wire should be sort of tight to wick, no gaps between the wick and wire. now if you hand wrap the wick, your wick doesnt need to be as perfect, meaning round, for the wire will just follow what you have. the most important note when doing a hand wrap is the tension at the top of coil. coming over to the positive post from the wick must have proper tension, unless you will get a hot spot there. what happens alot is after you make the connection, and then tighten the top nut, this brings over the wick, which adds tension, so what i do is tighten down the top nut alittle, then tighten up the second nut to complete the connection, this will reduce the possibility of over tightening the top nut which pulls the wick over. also you can attach the wire to the positive post in a direction that doesnt pull the wick over when you tighten the nut. i personally like it the other way, because the wire will stay in more contact with the wick, because the wire comes around the back of the wick before attaching to the positve post.

don't use the drill bit method. it only guaranties to make a good coil ( which is pretty easy anyway ). the problem is to make a good coil that works with the wick. if you read the forums you will find many beginners having problems using the drill bit method. train your hand to wrap the coil and after 3-4 bad results you will eventually learn it. is very very easy once you get it

i personally agree, although alot have used the drill bit method to perfection. to me it just takes to much time, and is not any better.

I thought the wick was dry at first, but the fact that juice pools up inside the air chamber makes me think it is something else. After 5 minutes of trying to get it to work I had to use a paper towel to absorb the excess juice. It seems to be wicking fine. Or maybe I don't fully understand the SS wicks yet.
Not vaporizing the juice that's coming up if not air-pressure related. Likely a coil/wick contact issue of sorts. Also make sure your wiring is fastened down properly, no loose contacts.
