Just refilled my Tesla 160 Watt mod with the tfv8 tank running 26 gauge kanthal .4 oms dual coil. Have it set at 30 watts. Took a few short draws off of it and the screen started flickering and freaking out then my box started to get really hot pulled the batteries out as fast as I could here is the damage

Looks like it almost started to go to my battery. The connection pins look fine it's the board where the screen is and the up bottom for the wattage that are toasted. Only had this mod for a month. It's been great can't believe that just happened. Also the coils that are in there I have been using for the last 2 weeks just changing cotton. What happened? Fresh batteries also.

I might be mistaken, but that scorch mark on the wood is in the exact shape of the inductor (that copper coiled object) Might be a fault in it that which may have caused it? Did you see any loose blobs of solder in the box? Ugh. It's a beautiful mod, too.
I did some more digging and that scorch mark is from the indicator display screen. Looks like that's where it started then went down the board to the up and down switches. Just out if the blue. Still perplexed why would the screen just light up like that?
