I'm just breaking in my nautilus on my Aspire battery, as of yet I expected a bit more vapor production from this set-up at least 2x more than my Triton. When puffing on it frequently, it runs a bit hot even with the 1.8ohm coil.Eiether the nautilus or the battery likes the 1.8ohm coils better than the 1.6ohms why is that?I also experienced leakage and gurgling. Once I put a new coil in, that went away. I'm just thinking how can I get a bit more vapor production. It's better than my Triton but not by much.Is it the battery?

Your approach, testing different coils, is a good one, Irontoiron. There is a learning curve to the Nautilus, but it's not a long one. Mine went through a few stages: I learned to lube the bottom (white) gasket with a little rub of the juice I'm vaping, not tighten too much, put a drop of juice on the wick before assembling, allow some absorption time, use the largest vent hole, and try it with different battery configurations.

Soon it became my most trouble-free, satisfying tank on all my batteries. I like unregulated mods and it works well on them --good clean flavor and moderate to full clouds. Same on regulated set-ups like my MVP and eleaf isticks.

Give it a chance. Leaks and gurgles will disappear, hot vapes will cool with more venting, and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Actually the Halo Triton tanks produce pretty decent vapor, so you really shouldn't expect magnitudes better vapor production going to the Nautilus (i.e. don't expect double the amount of vapor). It will be better, and the flavor is much better.

Really My Halo Triton did not produce that much vapor even with the 1.8ohm coils that burned up in two days. This Nautilus is nice though I like it on the second smaller air flow hole it gives a nice draw.

Did you know it is an atomizer and not a wicking system? I like the second to larger air hole it gives a good draw. The larger ones just feel like I'm sucking in air. Vapor production could be better a thicker hit would be nice, but overall the tank is pretty sweet I think I'll try and put it on a MOD.You think different types of batteries makes a difference in vapor production?

Guess it depends on how you define wick, Irontoiron. It does contain either ceramic or cotton material to transfer (wick) the juice to the coil element. In mine, there are four holes midway down the coil housing. This is where I drop a little juice before assembling the unit. I haven't found any remarkable difference in battery performance with one exception: A fully charged 18650 in my mechanical mods seems optimum.
Help! Disassembled my Nautilus Mini BVC Coil, is this the ceramic wick or the new cotton wick? | E-Cigarette Forum

Just going from my experience. I started with the Halo Triton (I think I had the 2.2 ohm coils), and moved up to the iStick with the Nautilus Mini. When I started using the Nautilus Mini, I stopped using the Halo Triton and it sat on my desk with 50/50 juice in it for weeks. Every once in a while I would still pick up the Halo Triton and take a vape off of it. Flavor was almost non-existent, but the amount of vapor being put out by the Triton was fairly close to what the Nautilus Mini was putting out at 11 watts (if I had to quantify it, I would guess it it was probably 75-80%). I did notice that having the juice sit around in the Triton tank for weeks, it appeared to get thicker, so maybe the PG was evaporating and leaving more VG?

I have also found that, with the Nautilus, it's important to get the PG/VG balance right, and then use the appropriate airflow hole. Takes some experimentation before you get the perfect vape. Too much VG and it won't wick sufficiently between puffs, resulting in more dry hits/poor vapor production. So make sure you mix a juice with more PG than VG. I have discovered 60-40 PG/VG to be ideal for the Nautilus as regards copious vapor, great taste and rarity of scorched hits.

Well after a day of usage with the Nautilus it produces way more vapor than the Triton broken in now with 1.6ohms and volts at 4.8 this is by far the best vaping experience I've had.

It's ceramic

I'm using 50/50

I have 70 Vg 30 Pg in my Nautilus now with no problem. I used Cuttwood Unicorn Milk in it a lot without wicking problems but I can't remember Cuttwoods ratio. With more Vg you get more vapor but I never could get max vg to wick properly in it. It's not a tank for vapor production but with the right amount of nic it does the trick for cigarette cessation

Do you know Halo's PG/VG ratio?

I agree with this one. The Nautilus Mini's are rather temperamental when it comes to juice ratios. I just went through a learning curve when I switched to 50/50, and at the same time changed from 1.8 to the 1.6 coils. Not that much difference in ohms, but you do need to play with the watts. On the 50/50 mix, you gotta watch the airflow settings and the wattage. I never experienced flooding with 65/35 or 70/30 PG/VG, and with the 1.8 ohm coils. Actually only vaped at 6.8 watts with my eLeaf with no problems and the second smallest air flow setting. Now with the 50/50, 1.6 ohm coil, I'm up to 11 watts to keep thing flowing smooth.

Any atomizer will feed juice according to the air flow and vacuum level as you vape. With the Nautilus you open up the air flow for thinner liquids (high PG) and close it down for thicker liquids (high VG). You have to find the right setting for your juice and vaping style. Draw long and slow to prevent gurgling and flooding, as others have said up topic.
